Xavier's pov.
About five minutes after Beelzebub leaves, a guy comes up to me with a paper file and a little Baggie in hand.
"Here's the stuff you'll need to complete your assignment." He says emotionlessly. He hands me the folder and walks away.
Well that was weird.
I open the folder and read all the papers. Great. I can get this over with today. I pack up my stuff and head to my car.
During the long ride, I think of different ways to execute my task. I decide in the least painful way. While I pull up the uneven road, I put on the necklace that will allow me to become invisible. I park the car and walk the rest of the way to the almost deserted site. Eight people lay on a picnic blanket while laughing and enjoying their lunch. I can see feathers sticking out of two of their backs. But which one is my guy. I quickly spot him and run over to him. Just as I am about to execute my plan, someone grabs my hand and punches me in the face.
"Visibiles," an unknown voice booms venomously. I look down and, sure enough, I'm visible. I turn to see my captor and am greeted by two glowing white angry eyes. Alex.
I smile to myself and feel a rush of adrenaline. I've been practicing these past few weeks, in case something like this happened. Let's see what I can do.
Bring it on, Mirror Image. This fight has just begun.
