My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my pocket, "Who's that?" She asked as she leaned towards me, trying to sneak a glance at Joven's message.

"None of your business," I told her with a smile as I pulled my phone against my chest.

"I saw my name!" She exclaimed happily and tried to take my phone. I turned away and read the message.

"Ian and Anthony are coming to the house later, but you can still invite Stephanie Kyle over. I know you were going to." I read aloud and she began to blush.

"Were you going to invite me over?" It made me smile when her slight country accent came through.

"I was thinking about it, yeah." I told her with a smile as I stuffed my phone back into my pocket, "Or we can find something better to do."

"How about we go to my place?" She asked happily, "We can bake brownies or watch a movie."

"That sounds lovely," I said in a deeper voice and she smiled. We left the studio a few hours later and I followed her to her apartment complex. The building she lived in was approximately ten minutes away from my apartment. I got out of my car and followed her in, "Do you live alone?" I asked her as we walked up the three steps to her front door.

She nodded slightly as we walked into her apartment, "Your place looks nice." I said as I shut the door. The floors were a light wood color and rooms were accented with the color white. The kitchen had knock-off granite countertops that made the kitchen look fancy, "I'm actually a little hungry." I admitted.

"I'll pick the movie, since you chose the game last time," she lightly laughed, "And you can fix the popcorn." She reached into the cabinet and handed me two bags of microwaveable popcorn, "Don't burn it." She smiled at me and walked into the living room.

"Okay, one, at least I gave you a choice of what game we would play," I said with a laugh, "And, two, I'm the master of microwave popcorn. I never burn it."

I slightly burnt the first bag of the popcorn, the entire bag was engulfed in flames. She rushed to the kitchen when I started to panic and grabbed the fire extinguisher off of the wall. She blew out the flames and snapped her head to look in my direction, "Master of Microwave popcorn?" She lightly laughed as she blew the fire extinguisher in my direction, "I think not."

"That was an accident," I said and she began to shake her head, "That's the first time that's ever happened."

Once the popcorn cooled down she lifted it out of the microwave, "This is what you get to eat." She said jokingly as she tossed it into the trash, "I'll make the other bag."

She popped the bag of popcorn and we moved into the living room to watch movie number one: Just Go With It, "This is a girly movie." I said loudly.

She shook her head as she jogged the bowl of popcorn, "Is not!" She told me, "It's funny."

I grabbed a blanket off of the back of the couch and covered my legs. A few minutes later she had stolen the blanket. I moved towards her and began to quietly complain. She shushed me and continued to pull the blanket away, "Well, do you have another one?" I asked awkwardly, "I'm cold." I pouted, "and hungry."

"You're burnt popcorn should fix both of those problems," she smiled quickly and passed me the bowl. She moved towards me and sat on the same cushion as I. She placed the blanket over my legs and leaned her head on my shoulder. Halfway through the movie I glanced down to see that she had fallen asleep. Her breathing had calmed down and she was completely still. I gently moved her head off of my shoulder and stood up.

I opened a door and walked into her room. I pulled back the covers on the bed, then moved back into the living room. I scooped her into my arms and carried her into her bedroom. When I placed her on the bed she began to mumble, "Goodnight, Gorgeous." I whispered as I covered her shoulders with the blankets.

Before leaving I found a napkin and pen and wrote her a letter, saying that I had a great time. I locked the front door from the inside and shut it gently behind me as I exited.

When I got back to my apartment Ian, Anthony, and Joven were sitting around the living room playing the Wii U, "How long have you guys been sitting here?" I asked as I emptied my pockets on the kitchen table.

"Where have you been, young man?" Ian asked in a woman's voice, "You had us all worried sick!"

"Were you at Steph's?" Anthony asked as he glanced over his shoulder.

"Yeah," I answered, "I heard that you two had lunch today." I said hesitantly. I watched as Joven and Ian both slowly turned to look at Anthony. Someone paused the game and the room got quiet.

"We did," he said calmly, "I saw her and invited her to go to the park with me."

"Alright," I said quietly, avoiding the three pairs of eyes that watched me.

I grabbed my phone and keys off of the table and carried them into my room. I shut the door and fell onto my bed. Who am I kidding? She is beautiful, talented, intelligent performer and I am a gamer who edits videos for a living. I don't stand a chance.
