I woke up to a noise and looked around the living room. I was sleeping on the couch. Stephanie poked her head out of her room and I could see the fear in her eyes. I walked to the back door and peeked through the curtains to see Sandy sleeping peacefully by the gate. I checked the locks, then moved towards the front door. Stephanie was frozen in the doorway to her bedroom. I looked through the peephole to see a man walk in front of the door a few feet away. He was exactly as she had described him. I checked the locks again and backed away from the door, "There is no one there, you can go back to bed." I told her.

"Can you come lay with me?" She asked and I nodded.

"I'll be right there," I told her and she disappeared back into her room and shut the door. I called the police and reported the man outside of our apartment, then walked into Stephanie's room. I laid next to her and she cuddled into my chest, but I never went to sleep.

When the sun began to rise I finally fell asleep, and by the time Stephanie began to wiggle I had only received about three hours of sleep, "Can we please sleep for a little longer?" I mumbled to her as she began to rub my chest, "I'm not ready to start the day yet." I told her. She lightly kissed me and I forced my eyes to open. They weren't open long before they began to close, "I'm sorry." I told her, "I'm just so tired."

We both fell back asleep and got out of bed at around eleven. I was relying on six hours of rest to keep me working throughout the rest of the day, "Have you ever been to Tennessee?" She asked me as we made omelets together.

I shook my head, "We almost had a chance to travel there, but we decided to go to a convention in Florida instead."

"I never really got to experience it," she told me, "We were always on my grandparents' farm. I never got to experience the actuality of Tennessee. I think I'd really like it."

"Would you like to go there?" I asked her, "I mean, if you had the chance to go."

"I would want to see my grandparents again, if they are still alive," she told me, "and if my sister was there." She said nothing more and an idea popped into my mind.

"Why don't we start looking into it?" I asked and she snapped her head to look at me. I wrapped my hand around her waist, "If you are comfortable with that. If you aren't I can invite the rest of Smosh games." I told her quickly.

"I think that I'd rather it be just us," she said with a nervous laugh, "but I would love to go back and actually see all that I missed out on."

We ate our breakfast, then I washed dishes and we drive to my apartment. Joven answered the door with a bright smile, "Good morning." He wiggled his eyebrows at me and I looked away.

"Good morning," Stephanie said to him and his smile suddenly widened.

"What's going on?" He said excitedly and we both shrugged our shoulders. We had decided in the car that we weren't going to tell anyone too far in advance, so that there wouldn't be many questions.

"We are going to do something in my room, okay?" I said to Joven and Stephanie awkwardly began to smile, "maybe no interruptions this time?" I asked with a light laugh as I took Steph's hand and guided her into my room.

I shut the door, then walked towards Steph.  I sat in my gaming chair and pulled Steph gently into my lap. My arms wrapped around her as my computer started, "Let's see," I said and began asking her questions about the location of her grandparents' farm. We located the Konner family farm on the map and found nearby hotels to stay in. After finding a place to stay, we searched for plane tickets. We were going to fly into Gatlinburg and staying in Pigeon Forge, a major city that was only a few minutes away from their farm, "Let's stay for a week, or two?" I asked.

"What about Sandy?" She asked me and I motioned towards the door.

"Joven will take care of her," I said positively, "He's in love with her and he absolutely adores you." I lightly kissed her cheek and turned back to look at the computer.

"Okay, let's stay for a week," she said to me and ran her fingers through my hair, "Maybe by the time we get back my father will be gone."

We looked into activities to do around the local area in Tennessee and planned a whole weeks worth of things to do. We planned to go to the amusement park, sing at a country dance club, and visit her grandparents' farm. She planned a whole list of activities and wrote them down on a piece of notebook paper. We decided to leave in ten days, on a Friday, giving both of us enough time to warn people and get out of going to work.

Once we were finished planning and booking everything online we fell back onto my bed, "I can't wait." She said and I felt her hesitation, "I'm nervous."

"I think you'll have a great time," I told her as I placed my hand over hers.

"What if they don't recognize me?" She asked in almost a panic.

I leaned forward and kissed her, staying close after I pulled away, "Then you will have to introduce yourself."

"I hope Emily is there," she said with a shaken voice, "It's been ten years since I got out of that house. It felt so horrible that I couldn't take her with me, but I couldn't even take care of myself."

"I hope she is there too." I told her with a smile and lightly kissed her again, "How old were you when you were allowed to leave?" I asked hesitantly and she got quiet.

"I wasn't allowed to leave," she told me, "I left when I turned eighteen one night after my father left and let us stay in the farm house alone."

I lightly kissed her forehead and rubbed my hand on her back, "You amaze me."
