Ten days later we were packed and ready to leave. Sandy was safe and sound, staying in Wes' room at his apartment with Joven watching over her. We uploaded five more videos before we left and promised to upload more when we returned. The Smosh Games crew drove us to the airport, "Have a safe trip." I heard someone say and turned around to see Anthony standing behind me. He lifted me into the air and hugged me. He and I had become better friends as I continued to hangout with Wes and the rest of Smosh Games, "Make sure you come back in one piece."
Joven, also, had become a really great friend of mine. I saw both he and Anthony almost every other day. He was walking around everyone with his camera in the air, filming and live streaming the scene as we left. Sohinki took the camera and Joven hugged me firmly, "Take care of Sandy." I told him seriously, "I expect her to be alive when I come back."
Wes took my hand in his and we left to go on the plane. I was excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time. My heart was pounding in my chest. We took our seats and I held his hand, "Are you excited?" He asked me and I nodded, "I am too."
Hours later we finally arrived in Gatlinburg. We left the airport and had a taxi scheduled to pick us up. The streets were busier that I had expected. We rode 15 minutes away to our hotel in Pigeon Forge, "It's like a completely new place." I said as I watched everything fly by in the window.
"You really never did anything while you lived here?" He asked hesitantly and I felt his hand take mine.
I turned to look at him and nodded, "We were barely let out of the house." I said quietly, "I didn't know what a grocery store looked like until I was eighteen."
The back cab area got quiet and I continued to watch as the buildings slowly disappeared and more farms were appearing.
As we drove to the hotel we passed a familiar looking area. The grass was dead and there was a large white horse roaming around the fenced in grass area, "That's My horse!" I exclaimed happily, it being one of the only happy memories from my childhood. We passed a sign that read: "Konner Family Farm" and I felt my heart beginning to rush. The cab moved quickly and about fifty feet away, on the back of the property was a small wooden house. The house that I used to refer to as the torture chamber. That's where I lived for eighteen years, trapped, beaten, and raped. Nothing good ever came from this place. Suddenly I felt like coming here was a mistake, "Maybe we shouldn't have come." I said and Wes' grip tightened on my hand.
"Stephanie, you love country music," he said to me as he stare into his eyes, "We don't have to go to your family's old farm if you don't want to, but let's enjoy our time here together."
I hesitantly nodded and glanced out the window to see a large area or empty grass. Eventually we turned off of the back road and entered Pigeon Forge. The cab pulled up to a fancy hotel and parked by the entrance, "Here is the number to call." He handed us a card, "We guarantee fifteen minutes or less to arrive." He told us. We paid him and grabbed our bags, then he drove away.
"I just don't want to ruin the trip if something goes wrong." I said out loud as we moved toward the elevator. My thoughts were moving everywhere in my mind, "But something good may happen, I mean, Emily may be there still."
"We can stop by and you can introduce yourself as Stephanie," he said and I felt his hesitation, "Then your grandparents won't know until you tell them."
"That's what I'll do," I said, "But I need to get it over with before I change my mind. We will go tomorrow, bright and early."
