The Normal

Its Tuesday, why can't it be Friday already. Ugh. Homework is outrageous. I have to go to school for seven hours everyday, then two hours of practice, and at least three or four hours of homework. My parents think that I'm lazy but i'm always tired, constantly worrying  about one grade. Now I might seem like the normal teenager, but i'm not. I hate going out with friends, or going on any social site that ruins peoples minds. And as a kid i'm not growing up to see how many likes I can get on a app or site. My life revolves around my room, the only time I ever leave my room is for; chores, food, and school. I only have a few friends at school. I always walk alone at school and sit alone listening to music. But i'd rather be left alone. I have braces and I look like a teenager, meaning acne all over my face, and I still have my baby fat. I've never had a boyfriend because everyone thinks that i'm weird. I'm not the popular who starves themselves so they can get attention for boys. The only sport I attend is track, I love running. Todays practice was hard because all I could think about was how my life is going. Is it the way that I want it to go? "Everyone run a 100, now!" Coach Nate yelled. I started running as fast as I could. " God i'm so out of shape." My voice was wheezy. "Yeah, same." That's Beth, my best friend. " We are almost there, come on Beth." I said barely. " I know i'm trying Paige, i'm really trying."

Beth and I hang out sometimes at my house, mostly we sit on my bed at night and watch the stars and the sky, wondering what its like out the in the sky. " Beth, what do you want to do after high school?" I asked. " I want to be an accountant, what about you?" She said with a slow, calm voice. " I want to be a lawyer, because I want to put people to justice, and make them feel like they have a voice for themselves. What do you think?" My voice sounded excited. " Paige, I think that's wonderful, and you would be great at that!" We hugged each other. I walked over my lamp and shut it off, and we laid in my bed looking out the window together until we both feel asleep.

I woke up the next morning and Beth was already awake, I rubbed my eyes and sat up. " Beth are you hungry?" My voice was croaky. " Yes Paige can we get some food."  " Of course lets go."

As we walked down the stairs I felt weak and fell. The next thing I realize I'm in the hospital with Beth right at my side and my mother and father on the couch next to me. Everything is blurry and I start to rub my eyes. There is an ivy in my arm.  My mother is crying and Beth is hugging her. " Paige! Paige are you okay?" I recognized the voice of Beth. The doctor walked in and walked over to me. " Paige, i'm doctor Pia. It seems that you had a vasovagal attack, meaning your blood pressure was low and reducing circulation to your brain, which made you pass out this morning." Said the doctor Pia professionally. " Was that it? That's why i'm at the hospital?" My voice was annoyed. " Well, ms. starr, we wanted to make sure that nothing else was wrong with you. And we need to do some more tests on you, and a CAT scan on your brain to make sure nothing is damaged. We are going to keep you overnight for observation. " Said Doctor Pia.
