The Unstoppable

Encephalitis

Ben and I started to walk together, towards my house. " Hey instead of going to dinner tonight, would you just want to hang out now?" My thoughts were everywhere at this point. " I..." " But I mean if you don't want to we can wait until tonight." He interrupted me. " Ben, I would love to hang out with you right now, but I really just need a nap and some food. Would you just want to come over and we can watch a movie?" I could barely keep my eyes open. "Um, Paige. We don't have power." I'm stupid. " Oh ya, um i'm seriously going to pass out in the next five minuets if i'm not home in my bed." I almost fell over. We got into his bicycle and rode back to my house. He took me into my house and laid me down. That's all I remember. 

A few hours later I woke up and decided to go to the hospital and see Beth of course Jackson was there, he never leaves. Its like they are married or something. " Jackson, have they figured anything out yet?" He turned around. " No, but she still hasn't woken up yet. I'm  worried about her." He ran his fingers through his hair. " When was the last time you went home? I'm sorry but you look horrible, and you don't smell the best. Why don't you clean yourself up and then come back I won't leave her until you come back." I tried to say it nicely. " Yea, okay I will." He left. I grabbed Beth's hand and started to pray, " Dear lord, please watch over Beth, She is my best friend and I can't loose her. Especially not now. Please help her get through this. Amen." I held her hands closely. Then I felt her hand squeeze mine. I started to cry in happiness............

After that was madness. Her machine next to her started beeping and doctors came rushing in, and I was forced out. I saw those things that they use to shock people. "1, 2,3, clear." After almost five minuets everything was quiet. I sat with my head bowed down." Paige, Beth is okay. She is awake, you can go see her now."  

I walked into the room, "Beth!" I ran towards her and hugged her softly. " Who are you?" My heart dropped. " I'm Paige, remember?" Tears were forming. " Where is Jackson?" They started to slowly run down my cheek. " Beth, you have to remember who I am, you are my best friend. We do everything together." I backed up. " No, i'm sorry I don't remember. But could you find Jackson for me?" 

I walked right out of the room and started to run, why is this happening to me? What's going on? After I calmed down I went back home. Realizing  what time it was, I started to get ready. It was about seven o'clock  when someone knocked on my door. "Coming." I ran down the stairs and grabbed my jacket on the way out. I opened the door. " I'm read......" It was Jackson. 

" She is pregnant.................."
