The Unstoppable

The plan

I sat wondering how my life had gotten this way? The " Eccentrics" were taking over the world as we knew it, or, at least thought. I needed to know how to get over the wall without anyone knowing, which is hard knowing that I live with my mom and dad. They would never let me go anywhere. So i'll have to come up with something. I missed Benjamin, so much. I messed up bad, and I couldn't let myself win. I knew I needed to come up with a way to get over that wall. I went to my room and grabbed the newest map that I owned. I circled where the wall was and where I was. I'm not sure where i'm going. I just need a plan. I heard someone come up the stairs so I shoved the map under my bed and picked up a book quickly. Someone knocked on the door. " Hey can I come in?" It was Jackson. "One sec." I yelled. I made sure everything was covered. " You can come in now." The door opened. " So you read books upside down now?" He had a grin on his face. I could feel my face blushing, I flipped the book around and started laughing. " Hey dinner is almost ready, your parents want you to come down and wash up." I rolled my eyes. " Typical." We both laughed. " Can I ask you something?" I was almost pulling the map out. " Yeah, after dinner." He was still laughing a little. " Oh alright." I had the most sarcastic voice ever. " C'mon." We both walked down stairs together. We walked to the table and he sat next to Beth while I sat next to my mom, as usual. " Paige, did you wash your hands?" My mom looked at me. " Ugh, yes mom." I hid my face in my hands. " Ok, just making sure you never know whats going around these days." She started eating. I walked over to the water and poured some into a bucket and washed my hands. " I knew it." She played it cool and kept eating. Jackson and Beth both laughed together. Beth is doing way better since the miscarriage, which is good. It's nice to have Beth back. I haven't decided if I wanted to take her beyond the wall. I just don't know if she is in the right shape, but we can't leave her here because what if something happens to her? I would never be able to live with myself especially after everything that has happened to her. 

I finished my food and nodded at Jackson to come upstairs, we both got up at the same time. " Where are you guys going?" We both stopped. It was Beth. " I need to ask Jackson about a question, in our room." We both stepped around the table. " Well can I come?" She had this, please don't leave me with your parents look. " Sorry, it will only take us a few minuets and then you can come upstairs when we yell for you ok?" Jackson had explained. " Ok, fine." We both took our plates to the kitchen for my mom to clean, then headed up the stairs. 

I opened the door and got out the map. " Whats that?" Jackson took it from me. " Its a plan." I sat down. " A plan?" He sat down along with me. " Yes, a plan to get across the wall." He gave me this, you are freaking crazy look we will never make it. " I need your help planning on where we are going to go and how we are going to get there. And decide if we take Beth, also decide if we are coming back. " Of course we are coming back, my dad is still alive and I don't really want to leave him, but I do have a sense of adventure." I smiled. *( Meanwhile downstairs*) Hey, i'm going to the restroom ok?" Beth said to my parents. "Alright." Beth walked up the stairs and stood by the door. " What about Beth? Do you think she is ready?" He was thinking hard. " Ready for what?" Beth had thought.  " I don't know, I mean she has barely left the house, and she isn't very strong." He had good points. " What do we tell her? And what about your dad?" Man this was stressful. " Can you give me a few days to think about it? And you can think of a better plan for the outside." I agreed. Beth ran to the bathroom and flushed the toilet. Instead of yelling for Beth Jackson left and went downstairs to her. Then Beth walked down the stairs.  I put the map away, I had lots of thinking to do. What if its really bad out there? I don't know what to expect. We can't carry much because we need to travel light. But what if Jackson decides to stay with Beth and i'm all alone? No.....he said it himself that he likes adventure. This is a lot to think about. 

To clear my mind I actually started to read the book, the right way up. " Stupid."  After a few hours of reading a drifted to sleep.
