We left the next day, without Gandalf. It took me a lot of hard work to convince Aleron not to come with us. Elrond had kindly deciphered the map for us and we decided to continue our journey.

It was raining. To say it was raining it to put it kindly for in truth it was pouring down from the sky in stair rods. Thunder raged on above us, making my ears hurt.
"Rain," I grumbled "Why does it always have to be rain." Thorin grinned at me.
"It isn't that bad," he laughed, flicking his wet hair out of his eyes. Lightning rods lit up the sky above us.
"Speak for yourself," I groaned "I on the other hand am cold and tired and want to lie down and sleep." I heard Gloin mutter something like 'typical elves' behind us. Thorin laughed and we continued walking.

Suddenly, a boulder crashed into the mountainside above us, causing us to be showered with debris.
"Look!" Called Balin "This is no thunder storm, it's a thunder battle!"
"Giants!" Yelled Bofur "Stone Giants!"
"Oh great," I grumbled "Stone Giants... It can't get much better than this." I heard Thorin laugh briefly before the whole mountain moved beneath our feet. Kili and Fili tried to grab each others hands but just missed before we were swept away from each other.
"Thorin!" I called, looking around frantically. I got a yell in return, though I wasn't sure who had screamed.
"Hold on!" Yelled someone, it sounded like Gloin. I briefly sighted the others before we crashed into the mountainside.
"Kili! Eleana!" I heard Thorin yell.
"It's all right, we're alive!" Yelled Gloin.
"Urgh," I groaned "Speak for yourself." I heard someone chuckle at my jest, but I wasn't sure who. Bifur came and helped me up, gabbling something random in dwarvish.
"Thank you," I muttered, before groaning in pain. My wound hadn't full healed, I guessed a few scabs had been ripped open.
"Don't scare me like that," murmured a voice in my ear. I turned to see Thorin.
"Sorry, won't happen again," I chuckled. Thorin let out a short laugh before following the others into a cave.
