"Good Morning, Auntie," chuckled Kili as I sat at the breakfast table.
"Shut up Kili," said Thorin, clapping him on the back of the head playfully. Aleron was grinning at us. I kicked her under the table.
"Hey!" She said "What was that for?" I tried my best to look innocent.
"What?" I said "I haven't the faintest idea what you're on about." Aleron rolled her eyes.
"Oh do leave off," she laughed. Suddenly, father came in through the door and strode towards the table. All the dwarves went silent.
"I think we'd better do some introductions," said Gandalf, looking at me. I stood up, looking around at the dwarves.
"Everyone," I said "This is Beorn, my ada."
"Ada?" Asked Kili.
"It means father," grunted Thorin. Kili's eyebrows rose a few inches.
"But she's an Elf!" Piped up Bofur.
"Half-Elf," I corrected. I turned to my father.
"Ada," I said "This is Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dwalin, Balin and Thorin Oakenshield." I pointed at each dwarf in turn as I said their names. Father raised his eyebrows.
"And you remember all that?" He said. I chuckled.
"It takes a bit of getting used to," I said.
Kili let out a snort.
"Yeah," he laughed "And she still gets me and Fili mixed up." The dwarves let out a chuckle. Father sat down in his armchair and we began to eat breakfast.

After breakfast, Thorin went outside with Fili and Kili to train. Well, I say 'train' it's more just swinging swords around. Aleron and I were under a tree, watching them. I was sat on the ground with a book in my lap, Aleron was leaning against the tree smirking. Thorin was showing the boys different ways of parrying blows, speaking rapidly in dwarvish. I looked up at Aleron, who had a dreamy look in her eyes. She was watching Kili, I knew she was. She still hadn't told him, I wondered if she ever would.
"Right then lads," said Thorin, breaking into the Common Tongue "One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight!" As each number was called, they all switched sword positions. Thorin went and stood in front of Fili and Kili. He called the numbers again, walking around and circling them. He watched their every move, assessing them with his piercing blue eyes.
"Very good," he said once they had finished "Now let's put that into action. There's only one of me so we'll have to spar one at a time."
"We can help," I interrupted. Thorin turned to look at us.
"Fair enough, arm yourselves," he said. Aleron and I drew our swords.
"Partner up then," ordered Thorin. Aleron went with Kili, I went with Fili. As we fought, Thorin walked around us, making sure the lads were following his orders.
"Come on lads," he said "You can do better than that. I won't have my nephews beaten by a couple of girls."
"Hey!" I growled "Less of the 'girls', I could beat you in a fight any day!"
"Prove it," grinned Thorin "Ten gold coins say you're wrong."
"You're on," I said.
We stopped fighting with the lads. Thorin drew his sword, swinging it about him. We circled around, watching each other's every move. Thorin made the first blow, which I blocked.
"Very good," he commented.
"Not so bad yourself," I remarked. Fili and Kili chuckled from the sidelines, Aleron let out an unladylike snort. Thorin threw another blow at me but I stepped nimbly aside. I span behind him and kicked him in the small of the back, knocking him to one knee.
"Hey!" Shouted Kili "She's cheating!"
"Who said there were any rules?" Asked Aleron. I chuckled. Thorin turned around. We exchanged blows for a bit. I parried and blocked as well as landing a few blows. I was a lot faster than Thorin but he could hit twice as hard. I nearly lost my grip on my sword a couple of times. Thorin threw another blow at me, which I barely blocked. I saw he had left his right leg unguarded so I kicked him in the back of the leg. Thorin fell on the floor. He didn't try and get up, he just lay there, panting.
"Come on uncle!" Cheered Fili "You can beat her!" Thorin looked at Fili like he was mad.
"No...I can't," he gasped. I offered Thorin an arm.
"All the bets are off," I said. Thorin took my arm. I hauled him up off the ground but lost my footing. We both crashed to the floor, laughing.
"Doggy Pile!" Yelled Aleron before falling on top of us. Fili and Kili joined in, completing the pile of bodies.
"Get off you bastards!" Yelled Thorin.
"Can't... Breathe," I gasped. Fili and Kili got up, Aleron just rolled off onto the floor before staggering to a standing position. Thorin hauled himself off me, getting up and standing next to Aleron.
"I think I broke a rib," I exaggerated, clutching my side dramatically. The others laughed. Thorin offered me his arm, I took it and hauled me up off the floor.
"Thank you dear," I said, kissing him on the cheek.
"That...was disgusting," groaned Aleron, covering her eyes. Thorin chuckled before kissing me on the lips. Aleron let out a shriek.
"Oh my eyes! My innocent little eyes!" She cried.
"I'm pretty sure you weren't innocent to begin with Aleron," I laughed.
"What did you just say to me?" Demanded Aleron.
"I said that I'm pretty sure you weren't innocent to begin with," I repeated.
"Right!" Laughed Aleron "That's the last straw!" She tackled me to the ground before sitting on my stomach. Aleron began to tickle me, I just laid there and laughed.
"Stop Aleron! Stop!" I squealed.
"Make me!" She retorted. Thorin crouched down and joined in. Fili and Kili just stood there, grinning identically.
"Stop guys! Stop, I'm going to wet myself!" I shrieked. Aleron quickly threw herself off me, Thorin scrambled back a few feet. I just lay there, gasping like a dying fish.
"Pinch me," I gasped "I think I died laughing." Aleron kicked me in the leg.
"Oww," I whined.
"What?" She said "You told me to do it."
"I told you to pinch me, not kick my leg into a million pieces!" I moaned.
"Aww, poor little baby," mocked Aleron.
"Whatever you say, Allie," I grinned.
"Allie?" Asked Kili.
"Call me that again," growled Aleron "And you're dead."
"Sorry," I said. Thorin offered me his arm and I got to my feet. I stood face to face with Aleron. Her face cracked into a wide grin and she hugged me happily.
"Right then lads," said Thorin "Let's continue training."

We spent the rest of the morning watching the lads train. We didn't really pay attention for most of it, that is until it got really warm and the lads took their shirts off. It was then that we watched a little more interestedly. All three of them were muscular and I couldn't help but stare at Thorin, who was wearing little more than his boots, trousers and the key about his neck. I glanced at Aleron, who's eyes were practically popping out their sockets as she stared at Kili. We stayed there watching them until father called us in for lunch.

The boys were pulling their shirts back on as we walked back inside. Thorin put his arms out to me, laughing.
"No way, you're all sweaty," I chuckled.
We went inside and sat down at the table. My father frowned, his nose twitching like a rabbits.
"Who stinks?" He asked. Thorin, Kili and Fili looked guilty. All the other dwarves laughed. Father rolled his eyes.
"Bloody dwarves."
Authors Note:
Hey guys, I hope you're enjoying this so far. I've tried to put some emotional stuff into this recently, so sorry if my story sucks.
I'll try and update as frequently as possible but my teachers gave me homework over Easter so I might not have time.
