We crouched in amongst the rocks, waiting for Bilbo to come back. Aleron couldn't stop grinning at me, despite the fact an Orc pack wasn't far behind us. Bilbo came back, looking frightened.
"How far are they behind?" Asked Thorin.
"A couple of of leagues, no more," gasped the hobbit "But that isn't the problem."
"They saw you?" Asked Gandalf urgently. Bilbo shook his head.
"What did I tell you," chuckled Gandalf "Quiet as a mouse, excellent burglar material." The company all chuckled and talked among themselves.
"Shazara!" I yelled in dwarvish. The dwarves instantly fell silent.
"Thank you Eleana," sighed the hobbit "There is something else out there." Gandalf went to speak but I cut him off.
"What was it?" I asked
"It was like a bear, but bigger, much bigger," gasped Bilbo, clearly frightened. I looked at Gandalf.
"There is a house, not far from here, where we might take shelter," he sighed.
"Who's house?" Growled Thorin "Are they friend or foe?"
"Neither," said Gandalf "He will help us or, he will kill us."
"What choice do we have?" Asked Thorin.
"None," said Gandalf "Lead the way Eleana."

A roar came from the distance as I lead the company. I quickly turned into my wolf form and began to run. The company follow suit. I was a gold and white blur as the house came into view. Home, I thought to myself. Suddenly, a great bear form burst out of the trees behind us. We ran into the garden and to the door, which the dwarves pulled open. The bear was right behind us and got its head caught in the door as the dwarves slammed it shut. Ori stood at the door for a moment before Dori pulled him away.
"He's leaving," Ori said.
"Come away from there," ushered Dori "It's not natural, no of it. It's obvious, he's under some dark spell." Gandalf put his arm out to stop me strangling that irritating little dwarf.
"Don't be a fool," snapped Gandalf "He's under no enchantment but his own. His name is Beorn, he's a Skin- Changer." Thorin and Aleron both turned to look at me.
"Get some sleep," said Gandalf "We will be safe here tonight." I heard him mutter 'at least I hope so' under his breath. The dwarves obliged and each laid down on the straw.

I didn't dare sleep, I waited at the gate. I waited for Beorn to come home. I changed into the same white dress I had worn the day Gandalf had brought me the message, the same day the adventure had started. I thought of Spirit, safe in a stable in Rivendell. I touched the fabric of my dress lightly. It was made of light, white fabric that hung to my knees. I gazed out into the night before my eyes came to rest on a lonely figure, stumbling across the landscape. A tall man with unruly brown hair and odd coloured eyes came into view.
"Eleana?" He called as he got closer.
"Yes, ada, it is me," I replied. He ran to meet me before taking me up in his arms and swinging me about like a child.
"My daughter, my little girl," he said as he hugged me close.
"Father," I said, hugging him tightly. He set me on my feet, took my hand and we walked back to the house together.
"Your room's just the same as you left it," he said, ushering me up the stairs.
"Good night, ada," I said, standing on my toes to kiss my father on the cheek.
"Good night, Eleana," he whispered as I closed my bedroom door.

I lay awake that night, my mind racing.  I was home at last. I was just slipping into sleep when my door creaked open. I looked up, expecting to see my father at the door. Thorin stood there instead.
"There you are, I had wondered where you had gone," he sighed, coming into the room and shutting the door. He sat in the end of my bed.
"Why are you up here?" Thorin asked.
"This is my home," I said.
"Ah," Thorin said "Is Beorn..."
"He's my father," I said.
"Ah, that explains it," whispered Thorin. We sat in silence for a moment before I shifted over in my bed. I pulled the covers back and looked at Thorin. He remained still.
"Thorin," I whispered. The dwarf got up and came towards me. He sat down and swung his legs into the bed.
"Are you sure your father won't mind?" Asked Thorin as he laid down next to me.
"He won't mind," I whispered. 'I hope' I thought to myself. I shuffled closer to Thorin, wrapping my arms around him. We kissed lovingly as we curled up together. He held me close and I fell asleep to the beating of his heart.
