You shook your head at yet another dress you had pulled out of your closet. Throwing it over your shoulder, it landed on the floor, where about ten other dresses laid due to your disapproval to wear them. Of course, there was nothing wrong with any of them. They were all beautifully designed, had comfy material and the colors reflected your personality.

The issue was that you hated every single one of them on yourself.

It was all psychological, you would tell yourself whenever you purchased a new outfit for your wardrobe. Though, that would never settle anything permanently. Some days, you felt confident in the clothing you wore and some days you didn't. Okay, most days. But you honestly couldn't help yourself for thinking rather negatively of your figure. Your naturally skinny figure. No curves. No edges. From head to toe, you were a just a flat board.

The dresses of choice didn't seem to help your plain figure either. In fact, you were sure it only brought out how truly skinny you were. It was absolutely disgusting. You ate properly, you exercised a normal amount each week, and yet you were still barely over one hundred pounds. Curse your metabolism.

You had tried eating a bit more and working out a little less, but to no avail. For the rest of your life, you were going to be stuck looking at other women who were blessed with well-turned hips and voluptuous breasts.

Though, you couldn't keep mentally fussing over your body insecurities forever. You had a date with your boyfriend, Tadashi at his aunt's cafe. He insisted on treating you to a homely dinner and later dessert of your choosing. That was an offer you knew you could never pass up. Sighing at your pile of multiple dresses, you grabbed for the knee length, (f/c) one, put it on and headed straight out the door, not bothering to see how you looked in it. Mirrors were your biggest enemy and you refused to let your reflection taunt you. You were already running a bit late as it was.

As you got into your car, you zipped open your purse, pulling out pieces of tissue paper. Wadding them up, you stuffed them into your bra, bringing out the nonexistent breasts you wished you didn't have. It was moments like these where you questioned why Tadashi even kept asking you out and later became his girlfriend. What could he - or any guy - see in someone like you?

You started the car, shaking any doubts about yourself away. Regardless of how you feel about yourself, you wanted to make the most out of this date.

Tadashi had greeted your arrival in his usual, gentleman-like manner. He opened the car door, complimenting you as he guided you the door. Once inside, your nose caught the aroma of what smelled to be chicken.

Before you could even ask, Tadashi went on and on about how he had spent all afternoon cooking chicken wings. He had even made the hot sauce from scratch. Serving you first, he placed an exceptional amount of four wings on your plate, along with the hot sauce on the side. He started himself off with four as well, but not hesitating to drench the sauce all over them.

"This has always been mine and Hiro's favorite meal since we were kids," he explained. "Aunt Cass's hot sauce became a hit when she accidentally added a little too much one time."

You giggled at his commentary. "Sounds like it." You weren't into hot sauce, but you couldn't resist trying this famous sauce you have been hearing about every time Tadashi had this meal. The heat was intense, but the overall flavor had your tastebuds watering for more. "Mmm," you hummed as you took your first bite. "This is incredible! You're such a great cook!"

Tadashi chuckled in response, a light blush hitting at his cheeks. "No need to thank me. It's all Aunt Cass's recipe."

"Yeah, but you're the one who made it." You took a sip of water before continuing on. "Seriously, I can't imagine this tasting any better if your aunt made this. And she's good at cooking too."

The rest of the dinner consisted of content humming from the enjoyment of the chicken wings as well as Tadashi telling you about his latest robotics project. It was such a natural conversation that flowed through until every wing was devoured.

"Alright, I do believe that dessert is your choice, my dear," Tadashi said as he stood up, grabbing both his and your sauce-stained plates.

"Hang on, let me use the bathroom real quick," you told him, standing up yourself.

Unfortunately, as you stood, one of the tissues you had stuffed managed to sneak its way from out of your bra, fell out of your dress and onto the floor. You stared at the white, crumpled tissue in horror. Tadashi was standing right in front of you as it happened; you knew this was it. He saw the tissue drop from your dress. And as he looked up at you, he couldn't help, but notice that one side of your chest was bigger than the other.

Covering your chest with your arm, you stood still as you felt your cheeks flush out of embarrassment. "'Cuse me," you muttered, quickly passing by Tadashi, not daring to look at him.

Once out of sight, you rushed to the downstairs bathroom, locking yourself in. Tears that had been building up as you crossed the cafe started to fall. I blew it, you thought as your legs gave out, causing you to slide down onto the cold, tile floor. He's never gonna want to see me again!

Not to your surprise, there was a knock at the door. "(Y/N), it's me. Are you okay?"

You sniffled, trying to collect yourself as much as you could. "I'm fine," you stated tearfully. You sighed afterwards, which Tadashi could clearly hear.

"Sweetie, I'm not mad at you. I promise. I just want to talk to you."

"Go ahead and talk then," you snapped. You didn't want Tadashi to see you the way you were right now.

You heard him sigh on the other side of the door. "(Y/N)...It doesn't matter if you're skinny or plump or anything in between. You are absolutely beautiful just the way you are. Don't try to change it for me...or for anyone."

This brought more tears to your eyes, but in a more happy manner. "Really?" You asked, not caring if your emotions were getting the better of you.

"Of course. And as cheesy as it is, you and I both know it's what's on the inside that matters. What we have is something I'd never want to lose. You...you get me, (Y/N). And I think I get you too. I love you....you know that, right?"

Unlocking the door, you swung it open, embracing Tadashi as the last of your tears fell. "I know," you whispered. "I love you too."

"Good. I never want you to doubt that."

After releasing each other from the hug, you went back into the bathroom to remove the rest of the tissues from your bra. When you came back out, there was a beaming smile across Tadashi's face that was unlike any smile he had flashed your way before.

"That's more like it," he commented, wrapping an arm around your waist. "Perfect."
