You couldn't contain your giggling as you were blindly led up a staircase by your boyfriend, Hiro. His hands were covering your already closed eyes, making sure you wouldn't peek at where he was taking you to. For the last ten minutes, Hiro had been walking you to yet another birthday surprise. He had already taken you out to go to a museum and then a nice dinner. You kept wondering what more he had up his sleeve. Hiro was quite the devious one when it came to surprises.

"Okay, stand still for a second," he told you, bringing you to a stop. You could hear the sound of his keys clanging together - and then another sound which you recognized as a door unlocking. You wanted to peek so badly, but you contained yourself, not wanting to spoil the surprise Hiro had for you. The sudden touch of his hand intertwining with yours made you jump since he didn't warn you. But knowing that it was his hand made you calm back down.

A few steps forward and you were already stopped yet again. The warmth of Hiro's hand left as he walked away from you. Now you were really confused. What was he doing?

"Open your eyes, (Y/N)!" You heard him yell.

As you fluttered your eyelids open, you immediately recognized your destination as The Lucky Cat Cafe. The first thing you noticed was the gang standing by a large 'Happy Birthday!' banner as they shouted "Surprise!" at you. You swore your heart stopped as you took in the rest of the decorations. Balloons were everywhere along with streamers that hung off the walls. You didn't even realize that Honey Lemon took a photo of you as you looked around the room in awe.

"Wow," was all you could say.

Hiro chuckled as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders. "Surprised?"

You nodded, still speechless on how festive the cafe looked. Sure, you had seen the cafe decked out for certain holidays or parties, but you never expected it to be decorated for you. "Thank you!" you exclaimed in glee, wrapping your arms tightly around Hiro's neck. The hug was short as you also went over to thank everyone else for the surprise. "You guys didn't have to do all of this."

"Well, we did and we're going to celebrate with cake and ice cream. How does that sound?" Hiro asked, playfully jabbing a finger into your stomach.

"Sounds perfect."

Hiro led you to the table, pulling out your chair. He always made the conscious effort to be a gentleman on dates, and even at school, but today he was being extra courteous.

Soon enough, Cass brought out the (favorite cake flavor) cake with (favorite ice cream flavor) ice cream. As they all sang happy birthday to you, you wouldn't let your eyes leave Hiro. He rarely ever sang, so getting to hear his voice was quite the treat that added onto the surprise. You really wish he would sing more often; it was rich and soothing. You were so naturally drawn to it that you almost considered to make hearing him sing more your wish as you blew out the candles.

After dessert, you opened up your presents. Honey Lemon got you a necklace, Wasabi and Gogo got you a gift cards to (favorite store), Fred got you a comic book and Cass gave you coupons that she said you could use whenever you wanted; even if they expired before you used them. She always gave you such special treatment. You often wondered if it was because you were dating her nephew, but you had been a valuable customer to her before Hiro had even asked you out.

Finally came Hiro's gift which you knew was his due to the poor wrapping job. Of course you didn't mind the overall presentation of how it looked; it was one of those things that made Hiro lovable to you. The eighteen year old watched as your expression when from a neutral to shocked.

You had gasped once you opened the red box. Inside was a silver bracelet that had pink sapphire hearts around it. You found it hard to breathe as you kept admiring it. Hiro always went all out with gifts, but this was something different than others in the past. "Hiro," you breathed out, now looking over at him. "It's beautiful. I love it."

Hiro quietly laughed to himself. "I'm glad. Here, want me to help you put it on?" he asked, leaning closer to you.

"Yes please." Hiro carefully took the necklace out of the box. You held your wrist out to him and he placed it on with ease. "Thank you, sweetheart," you said, giving him a quick peck on the lips. "You didn't have to go all out for me like th--"

"I did and I did it because I love you," Hiro interrupted, giving you one of his signature toothy smiles that perfectly showed off his gap. You had both forgotten that there were other people in the room. As you and Hiro were in the middle of a far for passionate kiss, you heard a fake cough from Wasabi.

"Hello, forget that there's a bit of a party going on here," he asked.

"Oh let them have their moment," Honey Lemon argued.

"Well the moment is over now," Hiro stated, standing up from his chair. "And we still got a little time left so let's party!" He shouted.

You stood up, wrapping an arm around Hiro's back. "This has been the best birthday ever."

This was such a fun idea! Hiro can be quite the planner now, huh. I know the ending is little weird, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to end it. I hope you enjoyed it! :D
