CHAPTER 24
HARRY'S POV
It's May so we only have one more month of our long break. I've been having an amazing time with all the extra time and I'm really happy I've had this chance to get closer to Andee. We've been dating for almost six months now and we're going to have a baby in four months but I still feel like I don't know her completely. She has so many walls that I still haven't been able to break down. She's made leaps and bounds from where we were at first but she still hasn't completely opened up.
Since tomorrow is our ultra sound appointment and because Andee's been so stressed lately I decided that today would be the perfect day to go out and focus on things other than the baby. I figured I could take her out to dinner tonight and we could spend the day getting her an outfit and whatever else she wants to do.
I knock on the door and Ess answers with a yawn making me smile.
"Hey Ess, did you just get up?" I laugh and glance at my watch, it's almost eleven o'clock.
"Shut up." she sticks her tongue out before turning and walking toward the kitchen. I follow close behind her, I know Andee's finishing getting ready, like always. "What's on the agenda for today Romeo?" she mumbles through the yogurt she just stuffed into her mouth.
"We'll probably get some lunch and then just play it by ear. I don't really have anything set in stone." I shrug as I grab a bottle of water out of the fridge. "What are you doing today?" I ask.
"I might turn in some applications, but I might just do this." She gestures to her yogurt making me laugh again.
"Where are you applying?" I didn't know she was applying.
"A few bakeries and a nursery or two... but I don't know if I want to work at any of them, baking doesn't even interest me the way it used to." She sighs.
"You'll figure it out, you're smart." I smile at her and she laughs lightly.
"Thanks Harry..." she blushes slightly at my compliment.Hey! Pokey Puppy!" she yells upstairs. "Prince Charming is here to take you away!"
"I'm coming, gosh..." she groans and twirls down the staircase.
You'd think by now I would be used to seeing her, but her beauty takes my breath away still. She's cut her hair and kept it blonde but added some lowlights. She slightly straightened her usually curly locks, creating soft waves that are hiding underneath a brown floppy hat. She has on a flowy shirt that cinches in at her waist, covering her bump perfectly. Her snug green pants hug her curvy legs and I can see her pedicured toes peeping out of her strappy sandals.
I can only smile and when I finally realize I've been staring at her for so long her smile fades and she looks down to inspect her outfit, assuming there's something wrong.
"What is it?" she whispers, she's blushing already.
"Nothing." I smile. "You just look beautiful." I shrug and she blushes an even darker shade of crimson. I glance towards Esther and see her shaking her head with a smile.
Andee descends the remaining stairs and punches my arm. "Stop making me blush!" she scolds and I just chuckle.
"You two have fun!" Esther giggles after grabbing a book and settling into the couch.
"Okay, let's go..." Andee mumbles and pulls my arm towards the door. "Where are we even going?"
"I don't know really, I don't have it all planned out but I figured we'd start with lunch?" I suggest.
