I'm gonna start off by saying that all fandoms have their own clichés in fanfiction. Whether it's Harry Potter's Twin Sister or the sibling of a One Direction member, each fandom has their own individual clichés. But nothing annoys me more than the Clichés that seem to cover almost every fandom in fanfiction. I've said the same thing about clichés so many times before; no matter how good you may think your idea is, I guarantee it's been done so many times before. So here is a list of clichés across all fandoms that make me cringe at even the title.
1) GOOD GIRL, BAD BOY!
Everyone has seen this. The cliché that defines modern-day literature, not just fanfiction. I was disgusted, to say the least, that all of Wattpad's most popular books are poorly written, have identical plotlines and are encouraging young girls all around the world that abuse is romantic and men who behave badly are ideal partners. I'm always asked "Review my/this fanfiction!" and what do you know, it's a 'good girl, bad boy' cliché.

Thank you, Anna Todd, for encouraging an awful generation of writers to continue writing the same plotline over and over again. Despite the book 'After' being published (not being that bad either - in context with other books that are even worse), the fanfiction has completely ruined fanfiction for Wattpad as everyone wants to write a story exactly like hers so they can become 'famous'. Fanfiction will never be the same again due to a 'bad boy, good girl' meets Fifty Shades of Grey meets Harry Styles fanfiction called 'After', which is the most read unpublished work on the internet. In fact, pretty much all the top books in fanfiction are all using this same cliché. C'mon, guys, it got really old a long time ago.

2) LOVE TRIANGLES!
There are too many of these in the real world - let alone fanfiction. Usually, it's in a paranormal setting, with two boys fighting over a boring female protagonist. Yes, unfortunately, Twilight ruined those wonderful classics with love triangles in them for all of us.
