Chapter Fifteen | Bailey's Sister

Bailey took the schedule out of my hand and started to read it.

"Oh, you have the same classes as my sister!" Bailey chirped.

"Really? How old is your sister?" I asked.

"She's fifteen, just like you!" Bailey said.

Before I could ask any more questions, the bell rang.

"Oh, well I've gotta go to homeroom. Bye!" Bailey said.

"Bye!" I said.

I looked at my schedule. For first period it read, "Chemistry." At my old school I would usually have Geometry.

I walked into the classroom, nervous and my knees practically shaking.

Luckily, no one really stared at me, even though I was the only student in there without wings.

Then I put my stuff down and sat down at the first empty desk I found.

Then a girl walked in. Her black hair was flying out of her pigtails as she turned her head towards my desk. Her uniform skirt was slightly ripped.

She had this uninterested look on her face, as if she didn't want to be at school.

Neither did I.

Then she walked up to my desk and said, "Uh, you're sitting in my seat."

"Oops, sorry." I got up and looked around for any empty seats.

"You can sit there if you want to. No one's sat there all year." She said and pointed at a seat next to her.

"Oh, thanks." I said, relieved.

Then our teacher walked in.

"Hello, class? How has your morning been?" The teacher asked.

Most kids said "Good," some kids didn't say anything, and the girl next to me said "Awkward."

"Oh, Raveleen, why was your morning awkward?" The teacher said.

The girl sitting next to me, with the pigtails (Raveleen) said, "Well, I woke up this morning really early, only to find my little sister, Bailey, dancing in the kitchen."

Wait, this is Bailey's sister?! I thought.

The kids in the class started to laugh, and the teacher started to laugh too.

"And then she caught me staring at her. She walked into the guest room, only to find her talking to herself in the guest room. But turns out, she was talking to some girl sleeping in our bed. She was telling her to get up and get ready for school. I left before she saw me." Raveleen said.

What?! Why didn't Bailey tell me she was staying with us?

"Well, that sounds like a very awkward morning for you, Raveleen." The teacher said.

"Mr. Johnson, you can just call me Rave." Raveleen said.

"Okay, Raveleen." Mr. Johnson said jokingly.

The class started to laugh again.

I have a feeling I'm going to like this teacher.

After many classes later, it was finally lunch time.

I walked into the cafeteria, and Bailey ran up to me.

"Why didn't you tell me that Raveleen was your sister, and that she was staying with us?" My voice was slowly raising.

"I'm really sorry..." Bailey said quietly.

"Don't ever do this again, or I'm going to..." I slowly trailed off.

"That sounds a lot like a threat." Bailey said.

"So?" I said.

"Don't threaten me, or I'm going to get my sister..." Bailey said.

"Are you seriously going to run to your sister?" I mocked.

"You don't know what she does..." Bailey said.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay. Forget I didn't act like an idiot just now." I apologized.

"It's fine, don't worry about it. Do you wanna go eat in the garden?" Bailey said.

"Okay." I agreed.

We went to go eat in the garden. It was much better than eating in that stupid cafeteria.

"Are we even allowed to eat here?" I said.

"No, but I don't really care." Bailey said.

"Okay." I said.

I was thinking about what Bailey had said earlier.

What exactly does her sister do?
