The Fighters Girlfriend
Chapter 4
Cameron's POV
"Mary, I'm gonna go get a movie for tonight!" I shouted in the loft as I put my black leather jacket on since it was getting cold.
"What movie are you getting?" She asked.
"Um.. I don't know, what movie do you want?" I asked.
"Safe Haven!" She screamed. I laughed and walked out. Classic Mary. Always picking a chick flick. When I got into the lobby, I decided to walk since it was only three blocks. I got to the movie store, and I walked in, going towards the Nicholas Sparks section. When I found the movie, I picked out another movie for me. I decided on The House At The End Of The Street. I paid, then walked out with the bag in my left hand. I looked around and saw a familiar car. It was Jay's car. I looked at the building and saw it was a gym. I decided to go in and say hello.
Once I was in the building, I looked around and pulled my jacket closer to me since it was colder in the gym. I walked in further and saw Jay in a boxing ring with a guy, hitting the guys hands with gloves or whatever.
"He's good right." A voice said to my right. I jumped and looked at the man. He was about in his 20's. Black or dark brown hair and brown eyes. He looked fit. I looked back at Jay and nodded.
"Yeah." I whispered.
"I'm Patrick, but you can call me Patty." He said and held out his right hand.
"Cameron." I said, then shook his hand.
"You're Cameron?" He asked with wide eyes. I raised an eyebrow and nodded. "The Cameron Jay saved from Jack?" I nodded and looked at him with confused eyes.
"How'd you know?''
"Jay hasn't shut up about you. I'm his best friend and all he talks about is how amazing and beautiful you are. And Jay's never done that. He tries to stay manly, but... He just looses it when he talks about you. It's sweet actually." He laughed and lightly pushed me. I looked back at Jay and saw him looking at me with confused eyes. He said something to the guy, then he took his teeth guard out and got out of the ring, then walked towards me.
"Cam, what are you doing here?" He asked when he stopped in front of me.
"I uh.. I saw your car and I um.. Wanted t-to say hi." I stuttered. He nodded and looked at Patty. "So.. You're a fighter?" I asked. He looked back at me and nodded.
"Yeah, he has a fight tonight! You should come, Cameron! You can sit with me." Patty said. I looked at Patty, then back to Jay.
"Um.. I don't think that'll be a good id-" I cut Jay off.
"I'd love to." I said and looked at Patty.
"Great! Give me your number and I'll send you the address to the place." He said. I nodded and gave him my number. Jay looked between us with his hands on his hips.
"Cam, are you sure? Things can get violent." Jay said. I looked at him and nodded.
"Yeah I know. I'm sure. I want to see you fight." He sighed, then ran his hands through his hair, then looked back to me.
"Okay. I got to get back to training. I'll see you tonight" He gave me a quick hug, then jogged back to the ring. I looked at Patty and smiled.
"I got to go too. I'm supposed to be watching a movie with my roommate." I said and stood awkwardly on my right foot. Patty nodded and stepped back.
"I'll text you the details." He said, then walked away. I looked back to Jay, then walked towards the door. When I got back out onto the streets of New York, I started walking back to my loft.
