Chapter 14
Cameron's POV
"ADAM. QUIT!" I've been at my old house in Chicago for about 3 days now. I go home tomorrow, and Adam has been nothing but annoying the entire time.
"Hey, you've been gone for 3 years. I got to make up for the time we lost. Which means I have to annoy you as much as possible." He grinned at me.
"I hate you."
"You love mee!" I rolled my eyes and pushed his face away from me.
"Adam, leave your poor sister alone!" Mom yelled from the kitchen. I laughed and walked in there to see what she was doing.
"Ooh, are you making brownies?" I asked as I looked over her shoulder.
"Not only that, but my famous brownies!"
My mother made the BEST brownies that I have ever tasted. I haven't had them since before she got sick. For the rest of the evening, we sat around and talked about our childhood and ate brownies.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Cammy." My mother was close to tears as we stood in the airport waiting for my flight. Not gonna lie, I was trying to hold back tears myself.
"I promise I'll visit more often. It won't be like the last time."
"I know you will." That's when my mom started to cry, and I soon followed. She yanked me into her arms and hugged the life out of me. Adam joined in and also squeezed me hard.
"Alright." I tried to catch my breath. "Can't. Breathe." My mom and brother laughed and let go of me.
"Flight 286 to New York City, New York will be boarding shortly." A voice said over the intercom. I looked back at my family and cried a little bit more.
"I love you guys. So much."
"We love you too" Adam hugged me once more.
"Call us as soon as you land." Mom hugged me last. I held her as tightly as I could. I had forgotten what it was like to hold my mom. We said our goodbyes and I walked towards my gate. I wiped my eyes and got onto the plane.
~~~~~
"CAM!!!" A voice boomed through the airport. I laughed and looked around for my big ole goofball. I saw him running towards me with his arms wide open and a cheesy smile on his face. I smiled and ran towards him. When we met, I threw my bags down and wrapped my arms around his neck as he picked me up and spun me around. Our lips met as we spun. It was like I was in some cheesy romantic movie. But it made me happy. After we both got dizzy, he placed me back onto my feet and held my hips so I wouldn't fall.
"I missed you more than anything." I told him.
"Oh, you have no idea." He kissed me once more. When we parted, he picked up my bags and we started walking. "How was your trip?" He took his hand in mine and looked down at me.
"It was so amazing." I smiled to myself as I remembered what we did for the 4 days I was there. "Adam started to get annoying, but I'm just glad he was there. I wish it wasn't a short trip, but I could only take so much off from work." I sighed and looked up at Jay. "It was nice to get away though."
"Well I was very lonely. Patty got sick and tired of me." We laughed as we walked out the airport and towards Jay's car.
We were at our apartment now and Jay had to leave for work for a few hours. He hesitated of course, but I insisted that I would be alright by myself for a few hours. I had to catch up on my laundry anyways. God knows Jay didn't do it while I was gone. I had just put the last load into the washer when there was a knock at the door. I froze at first, and debated on if I should answer it or not. I grabbed the first thing I saw, which was a duster, and walked towards the door. I peeped out the peep hole and saw that no one was there. But when I opened the door, there was a small package waiting at the doorstep. I bent down to pick it up, and closed the door. The package had simply my name on it. No return address, not even my address. Just my name. So I had no idea where this had come from.
I slowly opened the package and found only a piece of paper. It was folded up nicely, so I unfolded it to see what it was. What was on that piece of paper frightened me deep down to my core. I froze, and the paper fell out of my hands.
It read, "I'm not finished with you yet."
