The Fighters Girlfriend
Chapter 8
Jay's POV
I kept picturing Jack hurting Cameron all over again. It was horrible. I couldn't get his words out of my mind. I'm just gonna check up on our little Cameron. See how shes been since i nearly killed her int he alley that weekend night. I cant wait to see her. Shes a cutie, i'll admit. Nice boobs. I wonder what she looks like naked. I hung up after he said that. I couldn't take it anymore. I've been worried sick for the past few days, scared that Jack was going to appear at her work and hurt her. I would die if something bad happened to her and i wasn't there to protect her. It would just kill me.
I punched the punching bag a little too hard, and it went flying off its hook.
"Jay, man, whats bothering you?" Patty asked. He was next to me, punching his bag too. He stopped after a while though.
"Nothing."
"That's fucking bullshit, I know somethings wrong. You wouldn't hit that bag like that if something wasn't bothering you. Now tell me whats wrong."
I sighed and took my gloves off, then took a swig of water from my water bottle. I wiped the sweat off my face and looked at him.
"Its Jack. He called me a few days ago, asking about Cameron. He said he was going to check up on her at work. I'm so worried, Pat. I don't know when hes going there and I cant protect her." I sat down and put my head in my hands. "I don't know what to do." I mumbled.
"Hey, don't worry. We'll look after her. I wont let anything happen to her. Me and some of the guys will take turns checking up on her at work while you're busy. How does that sound?" He put his hand on the back of my neck. I looked up at him and nodded.
"Alright. Fine. But i swear to god, Patty, if something happens to her. I'll kill you." I stood up and helped him up.
"You really care about her, don't you?" He asked when we walked back to the bags. I put mine back on its hook then looked at him.
"I care about her more than anything. More than myself. I would die for her."
Cameron's POV
Sitting on the subway can be weird at times. You have the loud, annoying people. the business people. the gangsters. the quiet ones, like myself. and the homeless people. It can be scary. I was playing Flappy Bird on my phone, waiting for my stop. This game was so fucking horrible and i hated it with a passion, but it was the only game i had that didn't need service. I got McDonald's for Mary and me, so this homeless guy kept eyeing me. I protected the bag like my life depended on it. When it was my stop, i quickly got up and walked out. I walked up the stairs, then turned a corner. I opened the doors to my loft building and got into the elevator. i pressed the 3rd floor button, and waited for it to reach my stop. When it did, I got out and jogged towards my door. I don't know why, but i just felt like someone was following me and it was freaking me out. I quickly opened the door, closed it, then locked it. I took my long strap purse off and hung it on the coat hanger, then took my sweater off and hung it up too. I kicked my doc martin boots off, then walked into Mary's room. She was cleaning her room while listening to The Eagles. She got her music taste from me. before she met me, she was listening to justin bieber, one direction, and all that weird girly stuff.
"I brought your favorite!" I held the bag up and threw it on her bed.
"Thanks" She smiled and grabbed her chicken nuggets and fries out. I grabbed mine, and made myself comfortable and started to eat. She laid down next to me and ate hers too.
"How was your day?" I asked her with a fry hanging out of my mouth.
"Pretty good. Talked to my mom, cleaned the house, then started to clean my room. Didn't do much. Happy he didn't call or text." She smiled and stuffed a chicken nugget in her mouth. "You?" It sounded muffled since she had food in her mouth.
"It was boring. Worked all day. Yelled at some kids for running around and knocking everything off shelves. It got weird on the way home. It felt like i was being followed." I took a drink of my water and looked at my food.
"Well lets hope you weren't being followed." Mary nudged me with her shoulder, then finished off her last chicken nugget, then started working on her fries. "Hey, lets go out tonight!" Mary chirped.
"Really?"
"Yes! I need to get out, and stop moping around." She smiled and stood up. "You can invite Jay." She picked a dress out of her closet.
"Where are we going?" I asked as I finished the last of my food.
"Some club in a warehouse. Ill text you and Jay the address. I need to get there early since i know the bouncer there and i need to get our names on the list. I nodded and grabbed our trash, then walked into the kitchen and threw it away. "BE THERE BY 8!" Mary shouted from her room. It was 5:48 now. I had about 2 hours to get ready. I walked into my room and laid on my bed.
I got into the shower and washed myself, then shaved. I got out and wrapped the towel around my body. I walked to my closet and looked at the clothes. Slutty or Classy. Or casual. Maybe both Slutty and Classy.
I decided on a strapless white dress. Not slutty, not classy. Casual. I got dressed, then curled my hair in loose curls. I did my makeup, then slipped on my white pumps. I clipped my bangs to the side with a bobby pin. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 7 o'clock exactly. I decided that I'll just leave now. Mary had already left about an hour ago.
I arrived at the warehouse, and it looked stranded. I looked at the address Mary had sent me. This was the place, but it didn't look like a club. I looked around and saw only one car. It didn't look familiar either. I sent a quick text to Mary.
Me: are you sure you sent me the right address?
I looked around again and decided to send a text to Jay.
Me: Jay, i dont think I'm at the right address. Is this the address Mary sent you; 3422 wolf drive (a/n: completely made that up btw)
"Nice to see you again, Cameron." That voice. That was the voice of evil. That voice sent chills up my spine. I slowly turned around to see Jack standing there with two big guys behind him. I turned around and started to run. One of the guys grabbed me.
"JAY! JAY!" I screamed, then the other guy shoved something in my face. I felt dizzy. I was scared, and i didn't know what was going to happen to me. Darkness soon swallowed me.
