Tara

"Kailani Danielle Bay, come here!" I yelled while chasing her around the house.

"No." She squealed, running into the dining room.

At this point, I just give up. I walked into the kitchen where Christian was enjoying a sandwich.

"Christian, why would you give her candy and you know how she gets?"

"I can't say no to her. She gave me the pouty lip."

I groaned, walking into the dining room with no Kailani in sight.

"Kai." I dragged out in a sing-song manner.

"No." She ran past me giggling.

"I'm done." I told Chris.

He got up and walked to the doorway of the kitchen.

"Kai, I have more candy." He lied.

She ran into the kitchen giving him the chance to scoop her up. Her lips were blue from all the Airheads she ate.

"You ready for your nap?" He asked, walking towards the stairs.

"No." She whined while kicking her legs to be put down.

"Well too bad." He told her.

I'm definitely not having anymore kids, Kai is already a handful. I don't see how Lani can do it.

There was a knock at the door making me huff. I opened the door seing August standing there.

"How the hell did you find out where I live?" I rolled my eyes.

"I followed you the other day after you came from the club." He replied like it was no big deal.

"Why are you here?"

"I want to see my daughter."

"You can't, you're going to confuse her."

He scrunched up his face, "What are you talking about?"

"Daddy!" Kai laughed as she ran across the top of the stairs.

"Kai, get back here. I'm not playing with you." Christian grabbed her without August seeing his face and took her back to her room.

I was roughly pulled outside by my arm, "You got my daughter calling another nigga daddy?"

"He's more of a father than you ever was." I spat, struggling to get out his grip.

"That doesn't fucking matter." He shook me.

"You wasn't in her life for two years. What did you expect?"

"Keep fucking playing with me, your ass will end up just like Nate." He said making me gasp.

"Get the fuck off of me." I pushed him away.

He gave me one last evil glare before leaving. I looked down at at my arm noticing a bruise forming.

"Unbelievable." I muttered under my breath.

I went back inside the house to complete silence. Chris walked down the stairs letting out a deep sigh.

"Did you put her to sleep?" I asked.

"Yeah, she had a sugar crash."

"Next time you'll listen to me and not give her anything sweet." I turned around to close the door.
