I never showed the kids before.

Chayse, Chauncey, Leia&Leah, Kailani, and Leilani.

I skipped a little time so their ages are different. Chayse is three, Chauncey is soon to be one years old, Kailani is three, and Leilani is four.

Tara

"August, move." I slapped his hand away from my chicken.

He smacked his lips, "I just made a whole meal for your ass at one in the morning and you can't give me one piece of chicken."

"I'm eating for two." I rubbed my stomach.

"I just want-"

He was cut off in the middle of his sentence from my phone ringing. Lani's named flashed across the screen and I immediately picked it up. She could be going into labor and I'm sure Chris isn't there like always.

"Hello?"

"Tara, come to Saint Mary hospital." I could tell she was obviously crying.

"What's going on? Are you having the baby?" I began slipping on my slides.

"N-no...Chris got into a car accident."

"Slow down, I can't walk that fast." I told August as he pulled me towards the waiting room.

"Tara." Lani said in relief, breaking down into my arms. "I can't lose him. We got into a really heated argument and I told him I hated him. I didn't mean it."

"I know you didn't, Lan. What happened?" I released from her embrace to look at her.

"They said his alcohol levels were really high. He was driving drunk and ran a red light. Another car crashed into his and he flipped over. He was going well over eighty." She explained while sobbing.

August made her sit down because she was stressing too much right now and she could go into early labor. Hours later the doctor came out and Lani jumped up when she heard his name. That's the quickest I've seen her move in a long time.

"Where's my husband? Is he okay?" She asked worriedly.

"Well, he has three fractured ribs, a broken arm, a fractured vertebrae in his neck, and he's temporarily paralysed from the waist down. Overall he is very lucky to me alive, a crash like that in a foreign car like a Lamborghini is very deadly. You can go see him in room 215." She said.

We thanked her and made our way to his room. Lani was the first one to walk in and the tears came again.

He was in a neck brace, his arm was in a cast, and his face was covered in cuts and bruises.

"Baby I don't want you to see me like this. It isn't good for you." He told her.

"We took vows and I'm always going to be by your side. No matter how much it hurts me." She leaned down and kissed him. "I'm so sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. I don't want you to think I regret marrying you. There's nobody else I can imagine being with other than you."
