Tara

"August, when are you going home?" I asked slightly annoyed. It's been almost a month and he's always here. I'm getting tired of looking at him.

He ignored me, laying his head on my stomach. I really need to get back in the gym. I'm starting to pick up some weight.

"Daddy!" Kai squealed, running in the room.

"Sure, forget about me." I mumbled to myself.

August helped her up on the bed and she attacked him with a hug.

"I love you, daddy." She giggled as his blew raspberries on her neck.

"I love you more."

She grinned, "Mommy." She crawled onto my lap.

Oh, now she remembers me.

"Yes?"

"Can I have a doggy?" She smiled innocently. That doesn't work on me.

"Nope." I know I'm going to be the one taking care of it. I love dogs, but I don't want one.

"Daddy, can I have a doggy?" She crawled back over to him pouting.

"Of course you can, princess." He told her making her eyes light up.

"August, I just told her she can't have one." I plucked him in the back of the head.

"But she wants one."

"I'm going to be the one taking care of it. I say no." I folded my arms over my chest.

"And?" He looked at me up and down.

"August, you can't say yes to her when I say no. That means she's going to come to you every time I say no and I'm not having it." I wasn't going to let Kai think she was able to get her way, running to August.

"You tripping, it's just going to be a little dog." He waved me off.

I huffed, focusing my eyes on the tv. He laid his head back on my stomach, but I pushed him off.

"Tara, don't start with the damn attitudes." Kai took his place, laying on my stomach.

"Ooo, bad word." Kai pointed at him.

"No it's not. Damn is in the bible." He told her.

"It depends on what context you're using it in." I clarified. She would've started to think it was okay to use that word.

Kai began poking my stomach, "Baby." She said making me furrow my eybrows.

"There's no baby." I told her.

"There would be if you'd let me nut in you." August said out loud.

"Like peanuts? How you put peanuts in mommy?" Kai curiously asked.

I pinched the bridge of my nose as I mentally punched August in the face. He always says before he thinks.

"Don't worry about it, baby girl." August looked at me nervously when he saw the expression on my face.

I want to punch him so bad right now. But I couldn't help but wander what Kai was talking about. I'm not even pregnant. And I definitely don't want to be any time soon.

I shuffled behind August and Kai as we made our way through the pet store. He really was working my last nerve.

August looked back seeing me just standing around, and made his way towards me. Kai stood at one of the pins, looking at the puppies in awe.
