Tara

I smiled at Christian trying to lighten the heavy tension. He finally answered my calls after a good two weeks. But he obviously wasn't here to listen to what I had to say.

"Where's Kai?" He asked.

"...With August."

He nodded his head while slickly rolling his eyes.

"I know you're mad at me-"

"I'm not mad." He cut me off.

"Then why weren't you returning my calls or texts?" I asked.

"I needed some time to process the situation." He shrugged.

"You sure you're not mad?" I rubbed his arm.

He shook his head and pecked my lips making me smile. I kissed him back, straddling his lap. He gripped my butt through my leggings making me moan.

A person cleared their throat making us quickly pull away. August stood there with Kai sleep in his arms.

I quickly got off of Christian knowing my face was bright red.

"You just walk into people's houses without permission?" I rolled my eyes.

"You're door was unlocked. I didn't know you would be...busy." He glared at Christian.

"You should still knock." I took Kai out off his arms.

"I'll try to remember that next time." He retorted before leaving.

Still the same asshole.

August

I left Tara's slightly pissed off. I can't believe what I saw. It's one thing that she's going on dates with the nigga, but she's fucking him too.

She shouldn't be with anybody.

"Daddy." Aubria squealed when I walked through the door.

I smiled and picked her up, "How's daddy's little princess?"

"Good." She cheesed.

Shannie walked downstairs not bothering to acknowledge me. I don't know what her problem is and I don't care. Every time I turn around she has an attitude with me.

I'll just stroke her right later on and she'll get over it.

"Why don't you never allow Kai to stay over?" I asked Tara when I dropped Kai off like I've been doing almost everyday.

"I don't really trust her staying there yet."

"Why not? She's my daughter."

"So you say." She chuckled.

I decided to let her sly remark slide since I didn't feel like arguing with her, "Why don't I just stay the night?"

She looked at me and laughed, "Yeah right."

"What's wrong with that?"

"Everything. There's no way I'm letting you stay here." She rolled her eyes.

"Why not? You be having that nigga here?"

"That isn't any of you business."

"You fucking him?" I raised an eyebrow.
