August

I walked through the front door feeling nervous. Tara sat on the couch eating a box of pizza.

"Heyyy, baby." I chuckled nervously.

"What did you do, August?" She asked with a mouth full of food.

"So you know how I do that singing thing, right?"

"August, just tell me why the hell you acting so weird."

"I uh...I have to go on tour for eight months."

She chuckled, "Bye."

"Don't act like that."

"You leaving me once again. I should've know this was going to happen."

"I'm not leaving, I'm working."

"Right." She rolled her eyes. "Well you go work, and I'll take care of my son by myself. I don't need you."

"Don't say that shit. This is our child and I'm going to be there. I missed out on a lot with Kai, I won't make the same mistake again."

"But I'm supposed to just go through the rest of this pregnancy and the first few months of the baby being born alone?" She scoffed.

"You could come with me." I suggested.

"I have to get stuff together for my gym and Kai has school."

"You not supposed to be working anyways while you pregnant and I can get a tutor for Kai." I said.

"But-"

"You're coming with me so shut up."

"I have work, August." She whined making me roll my eyes.

"Didn't I just say you can't work while you're pregnant. You're almost five months and you can barely put on your shoes without any help." I told her.

I shouldn't have said that because she began crying.

"I know I'm fat, you don't have to remind me!" She wailed.

"I didn't say you were fat."

"But you were implying it." She grabbed another slice of pizza, stuffing her face.

"I hope you stay like this forever." I whispered to Chauncey.

At this point I was beyond exhausted. This is the first time I've got him to sleep all day with his teething. I tip-toed out of the room and sluggishly made my way to me and Chris' room. Lei and Chayse were with his mom for the weekend so this is my little chance of silence.
