How You Met/Backstory (Cory)

Your P.O.V

~Flashback to Grade 2~

Me and my parents had to move somewhere new because they got offered a better job.

It's my first day at my new school.
I'm not going to fit in.
Everyone already has friends, I will just be the odd one out...

I walk into my class and everyone glares at me, so I pull my hoodie over my head and just sit down in an empty seat.

'Thank god the tables aren't in groups' I thought to myself.

My teacher then walked into the room and introduced herself. Before we knew it, it was recess.

I slowly walked out the door, and went over to the sand box. I began to make a sandcastle when suddenly a few taller kids came up to and decided to kick the sand at my face.

"You will never fit in" "you're such a looser" they all mocked and laughed at me. I curled up into a ball and cried into my sweater.

I then felt a hand on my back. I looked up and saw a boy with brunette hair and blue eyes. He smiled down at me then stared back at the bullies.

"Leave her alone!" He yells, standing up in front of me. "And what are you going to do about it" the older boy pushes him down and chuckles.

The bullies then left us at the sand box.

I looked over at the boy that stood up for me and smiled "thank you" I said giving him a hug. He hugged back and said "no problem, my name is Cory by the way" "(Y/N)"

At the end of the day we decided to walk home together since we actually live pretty close to one another.

"So, why did you help me?" I ask, stopping in my tracks. "Well I don't think you deserved it... And you're kinda cute" I smile and hold his hand
(Now remember you guys are 7, this is supposed to be cute and adorable)

"Can we be friends" he asked, swinging our arms back and forth. "Yah, friends forever"

~End of Flashback~

"So are we hanging out today" I say into the phone.

"I actually have to work today, but we can go out for lunch, all the guys will be coming as well, and maybe you can bring one of your friends" Cory explains.

"Ok, when it's time, I will be waiting for you in the foodcourt at the Mall"

"Great see you then"

I hang up the call and begin to get ready. I decide to call my friend
"Hey Alex, wondering if you would like to come to the mall with me and a few other friends of mine"

"First of all, you have friends, congrats... Secondly, yah sure I will be at the mall in about an hour"

I ended the call and went downstairs to watch some Tv to pass the time. I laid down on the couch and without realizing, I fell asleep.

I was then awoken to the sound of knocking on my door. I shot up and checked the time, seeing it was 8pm. 'Shit' I whisper.

I then get up and open up the door, seeing Alex, Ross, Max, Barney, and Cory with their arms crossed.

"Heey guuuys... I kinda passed out and yah" I looked down and allowed them to come in. "It's ok (Y/N), you clearly needed the sleep" Cory said.

"Well since I got that rest I needed, who wants to stay over for a movie night?" I ask.
"Nope I hate people... And Barney" Max says leaving the house. "And he's my ride, bye (Y/N)" Ross then left.

"So you guys going to stay?" Cory and Barney nod their head. "Yah sure" Alex says, jumping onto my couch, but then bouncing back off and landing on the floor.

Everyone begins to laugh. Barney walks up to Alex and helped her up. She smiled and blushed. 'I ship this'

"Ok everyone sit down on the couch, Cory you pick out the movie cause I don't want to" he chuckles and throws in some random movie.

Barney and Alex sit next to each other, I sit next to Alex, and Cory next to me.
I lean over and whisper to Alex "I can see you and Barney are pretty close all of a sudden" she smiles "Yas isn't he just adorable" I face palm and look back at the movie.

I begin to feel sleepy again so I lean on Cory's shoulder, he then wraps his arm around my waist and we fall asleep.

A/N: I apologize for the late upload, I just didn't feel like writing during the weekend and my phone was dead all day. And Alex (math_geek1236) is a good friend of mine, she also writes chapters in my YouTuber Oneshot book (shameless plug-in I know) and will be in the story with Barney ;) but I will keep the P.O.Vs to just Reader~Chan and Cory. But anyways, like, comment, all that stuff, and I'll talk to you all later.
