Nicks P.O.V

"I'm going to rescue (Y/N)" I tell Gray.

"Are you crazy? With all of that commotion, I wouldn't be surprised if swarms of zombies are in the area, and going up against an army of cannibals isn't the smartest move either"

me and Gray were talking in the Cafeteria about what had happened.
It was the day after (Y/N) was taken, and I wasn't going to wait any longer to get her back.

Uni then walked into the room, his eyes were red and puffy.
It looked like he had been crying all night.

"General"

Uni looked over at Gray
"Sergeant"
He then sat down next to me, and placed his head on the table.

"What did I do wrong? What did I do to deserve this... Betrayal. He was nothing but a friend to me"

I placed my hand on his back, reassuring him that everything is ok
"Look, Uni. It's not your fault, the apocalypse can change people for better or worse, and I guess Cory wasn't so lucky. I know there is still good in him, so when I go to find (Y/N) I will see if I can get Cory back as well"

Uni gave me a small smile and stood up
"I don't think that is needed Nick. He has chosen his path, and he will continue to walk down it"
And with that, he left the room.

"You still aren't leaving to find (Y/N)" Gray stated.
"And I wasn't asking for permission, I'm here to tell you. And what I'm telling you is that I'm leaving to find her"

I grabbed my already packed bag and stood up
"Whether you like it or not"
I glared at him once more before walking out of the Cafeteria, leaving the Sergeant frozen in place.

Your P.O.V

It took me awhile but I finally managed to get the knife in my possession.
But something that makes me sick is that Cory's body was still in the room.

I here the door open, and the light flickers on.
"I see you're already awake" Red smiles, then looks down at the corpse.

Red sighs and kneels down so he matches with my hight.
"What a shame, he died so young. It doesn't really matter though since he already told us how to get into your precious CDC" his smile grew wider by the second.

Red stood up and walked to the door, whispering something to his men before turning back to me
"I really enjoy our talks"
He laughs then leaves the room.

His men then walk over to Cory's body and pick it up.
"What are you guys doing? What are you going to do with him?!" I yell.

They both smile and one of them says "well aren't you hungry?"
Shivers shot down my spine, and I choked back my tears.
"You people are sick" I spat.

They did nothing but laugh, and then the door was slammed shut.
Left alone again with nothing but my thoughts.

I smiled, twirling the knife in my fingers behind my back.
'When I get out of here, I'm coming for you both. There will be no mercy'
