Truth or Dare (Max)

Your P.O.V

"Truth?! You're such a pussy" I say.
"Yah, sure, whatever. I just don't want to have the same fate as Adam"

"You made a smart choice" Adam said.

As Adam was thinking about what truth to ask, I could tell he knew what to say.
"So Max, I know everyone here would love to know... Do you currently like someone?"

I could see Max flush a light pink, which cause my heart to stop.
"Well... I think"
Tears began to form in my eyes, but I choked them back.

Max took a quick glimpse at me, then back at the guys.
"She doesn't work at the offices, but she is amazing, but I don't have a chance"

Ross looked over at me, worry spread across his face, as the colour began to fade from mine.

"I'm actually getting a bit tired, I will call a cab to bring me back" I say.

"I will go with her, see you guys tomorrow" Ross says, following me down out of the offices.

I called a cab and one showed up not even five minutes after calling.
The whole ride home was silent, not wanting to make a scene in the back of the cab.

We got home and I payed the driver.
Ross unlocked the door and I immediately ran past him and into my room.

I slammed the door shut and hid under my blanket.
I then began to sob into my pillow.
'I should be happy for him, he might actually be a GladMax for once in his life'

Without noticing, Ross walked into my room and was standing in front of the door, I looked up him and he opened up his arms.

I quickly got up and hugged him.
"It's ok (Y/N)... I know you love him, but everything will be fine"
I nod my head, still crying into his shirt.

He pulled away and brought me over to my bed, he sat down next to me, and I laid my head on his lap.

Ross began to rub my back, which for some reason always calmed me down.
I began to drift off into slumber, and soon. I did.

I woke up the next morning still laying on Ross. He was still asleep so I let him rest. I slowly got up and walked over to the kitchen.

"Hey"

I jumped a bit, startled at the sound of someone's voice.
I turned around and saw Max.
"Hey Max, you scared the hell out of me" Max chuckles a bit.
'He's so adorable' I thought.

"So when I came in last night, I saw you and Ross sleeping next to each other... Can you explain?" I didn't want to tell him the real reason so I tried to think of a lie.

Ross then barges in.
"When we got back (Y/N) said she wasn't feeling to good, so I stayed with her last night" Max looked over at Ross, then walked into the living room.

I walked up to Ross and whispered "Thank you"
He nodded and we both went to join Max.

"So what did you guys end up doing after we left?" I ask.

"Nothing really, you guys kinda brought the fun with you when you went back home"

"CRAP!" We heard Tim yell from the kitchen. "What happened Tim?" I ask.
"We are out of milk, so I'm going to go to the store"
"I will go with you" Ross said, getting up and following him out the door.

It was quiet for a few minutes but Max finally broke the silence.

"What was the real reason you went home last night"

"I was tired"

"I know you to well. And I know that you do not fall asleep that early, you're to hyper"

I sighed, he's right.

"Ok it wasn't because I was tired..."
Max looked at me.

"Was it because of the girl I brought up?"
I looked down, knowing that he figured me out.

He chuckles.
"Then I guess that means we both lied"
I faced Max and gave him a puzzled look.
"Well you lied about leaving because you were 'tired' and I lied about the girl"

I was relieved but even more upset that he doesn't actually like anyone.
"I lied about how the girl doesn't work at the offices"

I smile a bit.
Suddenly his lips crash onto mine.
Surprised at first but then melting into it. I have been waiting for this, I have loved Max for so long, and he actually likes me back.

"see I told you that when we get back they will be making out"

We quickly pulled apart and looked at the door, seeing Ross and Tim with cameras in their hands.

Max then gets up and begins counting, warning them to run.
They both ran into their bedrooms and locked the doors.

Leaving me and Max alone again.
