Going Out (Cory)

Your P.O.V

I hadn't left my room for days, weeks maybe.
I have been eating, but only because Alex forced me to.

Her and Barney have been staying at my house making sure that I don't try anything, and just to keep me company.

I'm laying in my bed, staring out the window.
It's 7am and the sun is now rising.
The beautiful oranges, pinks and purples filled the morning sky.

I took in a deep breath and kept watching the scene unfold.
The purples changing to a blue and the pinks fading.
Orange changing to a yellow then also disappearing.

Leaving nothing but the sun and the blue, clouded skies.

Without realizing it, I had been watching the colours change for an hour.
So, I decided to leave my room and go to have a shower. I'm sure Alex and John are still sleeping, but I wouldn't want to wake them.

'Screw it' I thought.
They chose to stay in my house so they're going to have to deal with it.

I grabbed some clothes out of my drawers and walked out of my room and across the hall to the washroom.

Along the way, I think I could hear John snoring.
I chuckled and close the door.
Turning around and turning on the shower.

I unclothed myself and the bathroom quickly became steamy.
I opened the shower curtain and stepped in, letting the hot water trickle down my skin.

And then I began to think.
'I wonder if Cory is with that girl now'
'Was I not good enough?'
'What did I do wrong?'
'Why did he leave me?'

All these questions floated around in my mind, and not one of them could be answered.
I was snapped out of my thought from a knock on the door.

"Yes?" I asked.
"It's Alex. Me and John are making breakfast and wondered if you wanted anything"

"I should be out of the shower in a minute, I will just meet you downstairs"
"Ok!"
I could tell Alex was happy that I was finally coming out of my room for once.

'I don't need Cory in my life to make it through the day, I have my friends'

I quickly shampooed and conditioned my hair and washed my body.
Rinsing it all off and turning off the shower.

I stepped out, dried myself off and put on the clothes that I had ready.
Once I opened the door, all the steam that was once in the bathroom quickly left.

I went into my room and grabbed my phone, seeing that it was now 8:50am.
I left my bedroom, walked downstairs, and made my way to the kitchen.

"Hey (Y/N)!"
I smiled at him and waved.
"Hey John. So, where's Alex?"
Me and John walked over to the living room to sit down.

"She went to the store to buy some eggs, since we were all out" he explained.
"Why didn't you go with her?"
What's up with me and questions today.

"She told me to stay here and watch you" he laughed a bit.
I couldn't help but smile.
Hearing someone else's voice and hearing someone else's laugh was music to my ears.
