I felt a light breeze run across my cheeks as I rolled on my side and opened my eyes slowly. I realised that I'd left my window open the night before. It was the Summer so it was extremely hot, to the extent that I had obviously kicked my duvet on the floor. My alarm hadn't gone off yet, so I slid my arms up to my pillow and cherished the last few moments... seconds even.

My phone lit up and vibrated loudly, awakening me quickly from my doze. I flipped over and slapped my phone, stopping the alarm almost instantly. I didn't want to wake the boys up, not until I was dressed anyway. I looked into the blinding glare of my phone and saw that it was 5:31am. Strange. I thought. My shifts normally start at seven. I got up, completely puzzled by my alarm, got dressed, tied up my hair and applied some natural makeup to both my eyes and cheeks. "I'd better wake the boys up," I mumbled quietly, walking over to the bunk bed that stood beside my single one. I knelt down and shook Robin slightly, and then resumed to my full six-foot height and flicked Dylan hard on the head. He'd woken me up that way the previous morning, so why couldn't I do it to him? I laughed slightly as he jolted into a sitting position, wide eyed. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" He said loudly, glancing down at my phone that had previously been thrown onto my bed. "Its twenty to six!" -"My alarm went off at half five," I sat down on my bed beside my phone and pulled out my black trainers from under it. "You're lucky it took me as long as it did to get ready." I shot a smile down at Robin, who was still laying down, rubbing his eyes. "Wait!" Dylan snapped, his brain slowly starting to function. "That means it only took you ten minutes to get ready," He raised an eyebrow at me. Wow, he was pretty slow for a twenty-one year old. "Well done, Sherlock. You know that's slow for me." I stated, tying up my shoelaces and standing up. "You know," Robin sat up and ran a hand through his brownish hair. "You are pretty quick for a girl." He poked out his tongue at me. This resulted in me twanging a hairband from my wrist at him. He caught it quickly in his hands and let out a loud laugh. "Sh!" My voice sounded almost harsh. "Are you forgetting what time it is?" Robin cupped his hand to his mouth and widened his eyes sarcastically. I lifted an eyebrow and stared at him, until he got uncomfortable and stood up to his tall six-foot-four build. For a nice guy, he could be pretty daunting at first. He wrapped his arm around my head and held me in a headlock, which made me bite his arm gently. He snapped it back up and pouted, ushering for me to leave the room while the boys could get dressed.

After waiting outside for a few minutes, I watched the two boys step out of our cabin in their nice black shirts and trousers, pretty much the same as mine. They stepped towards where I was leaning and bowed down low. "How do we look?" They asked quietly, in unison, causing me to giggle slightly. I curtseyed and replied, "Lovely. Now come on, we have to go to the kitchen and see what chef's up to." I tightened my ponytail and began to walk down the many corridors to the kitchen, with the boys closely following. "Demi," I heard Robin call from behind. "Why are we even up this early?" -"I have absolutely no idea. Last time we were up this early was when Bey-" -"Beyoncé was here!" Dylan interrupted. "Maybe another VIP is coming on board today? After all, we are heading to the USA, right?" -"Oh yeah, now I remember." Robin whispered, a slight tone of excitement in his voice, bless. "Did Sophie tell us something last night?" I asked, puzzled. Sophie's one of our bosses. "I don't know about you guys," Robin continued. "But I was pretty hammered last night." -"Drunk on a Sunday night, ey? Silly, silly boys." I pointed over my shoulder at them, and resumed walking. I opened a door to the left of me, which revealed another corridor. I began to walk down, once again, with Dylan and Robin behind me. "Can't blame me, really. The rich ones are leaving today to go to Port Isaac, and they supplied us with tons of alcohol. Dylan practically had to be dragged back to our cabin!" -"Hey! I wasn't that bad!" Dylan protested, opening the door that led to the last stretch of our walk. "You both were drunk as hell." I loudened my voice slightly, as we had passed all of the passengers cabins now, and were in an empty corridor with a metal door at the end. "Oi, you had eleven cans of Monster and then passed out in bed at half eight last night!" Robin laughed loudly behind me. "You know me," I said, a slight London tone breaking out in my voice. "I prefer energy drinks!" We all erupted in laughter for a few seconds, and then all went silent as I opened the cold metal door.

After being greeted by the chef, the boys poured themselves two cups of milky coffee. I walked over to the fridge and got myself a can of Rockstar, which the chef stocks up for me every week. Lovely bloke, is Harry. I took a gulp and instantly felt my brain awaken. "That's better." I breathed out deeply and smiled. "So, Harry, why are we up and in the kitchen at six o'clock? Shift doesn't normally start for another hour." -"Well, didn't you hear?" He replied with a strong Irish accent. "We've got a Very Important Person boarding from Port Isaac today, some singer girl. Didn't quite catch her name though. Didn't Soph explain to ya?" -"Yeah, I think so. But since these boys got absolutely plastered last night and I got pretty much 'high' on Monster, none of us remember a thing." Harry let out a laugh and glanced over to the boys, who were leaning against a counter in the far side of the kitchen. "Joint at the hip, those two." -"Like brothers." I said, a large smile sweeping across my face. I tightened my ponytail and walked over to a cloth and polish that were sitting on the sideboard. "Which room?" I asked, raising the items. "469." I nodded and turned to the door. I looked over my shoulder and called. "I'll see you guys around lunch, right?" They both nodded and I headed back down the corridors.

I polished around ornaments on large wooden shelves, I dusted the head of the mahogany bed, I straightened the photo frames and hoovered the carpet. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and looked at the time. It was 8:00am already! I flattened down my hair at the top and took a deep breath in. I stood up tall and looked around at the huge spotless room I had just cleaned. I was pretty pleased. There was not a speck of dust, nor a cobweb anywhere. I loved cleaning. I smiled from ear to ear, and walked over to the door. I opened it and took one last look inside, before stepping out into the corridor. I heard mumbles from the doors I was walking past as people were waking up.

I felt a sudden jolt forward, and I fell down to my knees, dropping my cloth and bottle of polish. Think we've docked. I thought, laughing at myself. I pulled myself up and picked up my items. I walked back through the corridors, only to stop at one of the larger windows and stare out into a crowd of screaming girls. My chin dropped. "It must be a pretty big celebrity..." I said quietly to myself, still looking out the window. The girls began to chant something very loudly, something with three syllables. I tried to work out what they were saying, but then I saw a shiny black thing walk through the crowd, surrounded by three large, buff men. I noticed them coming towards the ship, and I'd guessed that the room that I had just cleaned, was hers. I sprinted down god knows how many corridors, bottle and cloth still in my hands, and pushed myself into the kitchen, to see an excited Robin sitting on the worktop, taking a swig of my Rockstar drink. "Oi, what do you think you're up to?" I snatched the drink away playfully. "We've got company." I took a gulp of my almost flat drink. "I know, big celeb she is. Dylan's 'looking after her' as he called it. He's one of her bodyguards. Calls her fit, he does." I laughed loudly for a couple of seconds. "Bodyguard?! He's five-foot-nine! If he was five inches taller, maybe." I pounded my chest a few times, not even acknowledging the 'fit' comment.. "Anyway, her room's set. You should probably start making this mystery woman some breakfast."
