It took 'The Georgia-Rose' a few days longer to dock at it's final destination, just to the right of London on the port. It was now about the 30th of July, and we were saying our final goodbye's.

"It's going to be weird not seeing you around here for a while." said Sophie, embracing me in a tight hug. I pulled back slowly, my black suitcase held tightly in my hand. I re-packed it the day before I'd be leaving. "I'm only going for two weeks. Don't go all soppy!" I laughed. "Plus, it's your holiday too, you're going down to Cornwall for the break, right?" -"Yeah, I guess that's something to look forward to." She replied, giving me a large smile. "It's a well deserved break. You'll be back for another six months soon. Take it easy." I rested my hand on Sophie's shoulder and she bent down and picked up a red rucksack, flinging it on her back. "I'll see you later." I spoke gently, constantly smiling. I swung around and was instantly face to face with a beaming Robin. "Hey, Sport!" I pulled him in for a quick hug - it seemed like the right moment for a "Sport". "I know we said our goodbye's on the ship, but I was thinking. Would you like to come and stay with me and the girls?" His smile widened almost instantly. I crumpled my face up slightly. "Don't go getting any ideas." -"I'm not! But why do you want me to come? I'd be in the way. You're all girls!" He chuckled a little. "I need to take care of you." I glanced down at his arm slowly, and back up to his eyes. "Don't want you getting hurt again." He punched me playfully on the shoulder. "I'll be fine. I'm staying in London with my mum for the holiday. She owns a restaurant there, she wants me to take some shifts whilst we're docked." -"Oh, okay mate." I smiled, taking a step back. "I guess I'll see you around then?" -"We'll have to arrange a coffee date or something before we board again." -"Sounds fab! I'll see ya!" I waved at him and turned around, making my way through the crowds of un-boarding passengers.

I walked down the London streets, dodging the odd person that was either speeding to a McDonalds or running to work, late as usual, I was guessing. I ran the last stretch of pavement down to Daisy's apartment.

I knocked on the blue wooden door strongly and smiled. The door swung open swiftly and I was instantly jumped on by Daisy, wrapping her arms tightly around my shoulders. I squeezed her tightly until she released, smiling widely. "Babe!" she squealed with a strong London accent. "How are you?" -"I'm great thanks Dais! How've you been?" I answered, stepping through the door into a thin, cream hallway. "Life's great. I've got myself a new fella and everything! So's Natasha, real nice guy he is." Daisy skipped down the hallway and turned to her left into what I instantly recognised as the living room. Sitting on two opposite leather sofas were Summer, Natasha, and a lanky boy that I'd never seen before, and sitting on his own, was a broad guy with a shaven head, his 'stubble' dyed bleach blonde. He looked up at me with piercing blue eyes and smirked slightly, before looking me up and down. I raised an eyebrow at him and let go of my suitcase. I plonked myself down on a low beanbag and forced my attention over to Summer and Natasha. "How's life been, girlies?" I asked enthusiastically, wiggling to make myself comfortable. "Great!" They said in unison, which resulted in them turning to each other and giggling hysterically. Natasha leant back on the boy with brown flicked hair and he rested his arm over her shoulder. "Who's your friend?" I winked at her, and she laughed gently yet again. "This is Thomas. We've been together for two months now." She smiled and looked up, pecking him sweetly on the lips. "Nice to meet you, Thomas." I wanted to make a good first impression, after all, Natasha was one of my best friends. I stood up and reached out my hand, and greeted Thomas with a firm handshake. I turned and saw a sickening sight: Daisy sitting on the broad guy that I'd already guessed was a total plonker. He kept whispering in her ear, which made her laugh from time to time. "Who's this?" I asked her, trying to force myself to smile. "Things change loads every time I come back!" I laughed awkwardly and waited for a reply. "This is Joey, he's my boyfriend." I cringed slightly and walked over to Summer, who was sitting uncomfortably on the edge of the sofa beside Natasha and Thomas. "Why don't you make me a cuppa?" I asked her, motioning to the kitchen. She nodded and smiled hugely, standing up swiftly.

"So... Joey seems nice." I tried to make conversation with her as she leant awkwardly on the sideboard, waiting for the kettle to boil. "I guess." She paused as I made myself comfortable on the small wooden stools perched beside the island in the centre of the kitchen. "Don't like him, do you?" I chuckled and she looked at me pleadingly. "You have to get rid of him! He's such a pain! And he keeps looking at me weird." She gripped her hips tightly and looked down. "He scares me a bit, you know. When the others are out and we're home alone, he keeps looking at me creepily." -"Why are the others out without you?" -"They're always out clubbing and stuff. I don't mind the odd drink, but I feel so uncomfortable when they come home absolutely plastered. Joey claims he thinks over-drinking is irresponsible." She air quoted 'irresponsible'. "I really don't understand that guy." She turned and poured the boiled water into a red mug for me. She began to stir as I spoke. "Well why don't you get yourself a guy?" -"Don't go out much," she replied awfully quickly. "I'm the quiet type, apparently." -"When I was here last, you were the lively one!" She swung around again and locked eye contact with me. "Do you remember Charlie?" I nodded. "We went through a pretty tough breakup a few months back. I've been different since. I'm quieter, I keep myself to myself now. I'm afraid to let anyone in." My jaw dropped a little. "I know someone just like you, I work with him. Amazing guy, is Robin." I laughed. "You'd be perfect together." I joked, only to see Summer's eyes widen. "You think so?" She picked up the mug and passed it over the island to me, leaning over it. She rested on her elbows and looked at me admiringly. "Wow, babe, calm it. I'm not sure." She pouted. "Don't look so desperate." I winked and pressed a finger to her forehead, pushing her away. I took a sip of my tea and grinned. "You need to get out more. Why don't I take you somewhere? I tell you what: we could go shopping. Just the two of us, to get something to wear for the party? Then we could go for lunch." -"Like a welcome home thing. It's on me." She beamed and stood up straight. "Sounds like a plan. Come on then, they're all hung up with their new playmates." She chuckled. "They won't even notice we're gone. It's really starting to get annoying, you know. Oh well, I'm guessing I'll survive. I've got you for a while now!" She picked up her purple purse from the sideboard and slid it into her pocket. With that, she took my hand and dragged me off of the stool, to the front door.
