l ran to the first aid tent with a bloody reya in my arms. a nurse saw her and yelled something to someone and paramedics took her out of my arms and put her in an ambulance.
"what is your relation?" one of them asked me
"father"
"okay you should come with us"
I climbed into the ambulance and sat on a bench thingy. I looked out the doors and saw Jacky standing there with tears rolling down his face and jess watching, hands covered in blood. the doors slammed shut I felt each thud in my chest. and the sirens started blaring and we started to move.
Everything went in slow motion, almost lifelessly as I watched them bandage reya's head and hook her up to odd machines. after fifteen minutes which seemed like forever passed and the ambulance came to a halt. the ambulance doors opened and the stretcher rolled out. I jumped out and followed them into the hospital.
"you're going to have to wait in the waiting room for now" a nurse told me. I nodded and went over to the waiting area. l sat down and let the tears roll down my face. someone came over to me with a pen and a clip board with forms on it.
l filled them all out and then took it up to the desk where a lady took it. I walked back over to the chair I was sitting in and pulled my phone out before sitting down. l texted crissy.
R: reya got hurt and is in the hospital, I don't know what happened I wasn't there and I haven't seen her yet
C: oh my god!
R:that's all I know
C: okay well tell me anything you find out please, I hope she's okay
R:me too, how's willow?
C: she's doing good, we miss you!
R: miss you to love you both
C: love you gotta go, she's throwing her noodles everywhere!
R: bye love you too :)
a nurse walked into the waiting area. "Radke" she said too cheerfully and i stood up
"follow me" she said and I walked behind her until she stopped at a room and slid the door open, 'she's asleep but perfectly fine" I nodded and walked in and sat down in the chair next to reya.
