What do you wear when you’re going to buy a car, and a cell phone, but mostly a car? I have been having this debate in my head for the past half hour while standing in my closet. Maybe I should just wear jeans. That’s always safe.

“Wear a dress.” Came Vlads voice from the hallway.

“Not fair, you said you wouldn’t do that.” I pouted. Not that I minded, at least now I have it narrowed down to a dress. Now if only he would pick that to. I laughed to myself.

“I did say that, but I can’t do much when you’re screaming in my head. We’re going to need to teach you how to block your thoughts. I wouldn’t want any of my enemies hearing them. You should wear the white one.”

The white one it is then.

Harold drove us to the city, which was quite a long drive from Vlad’s house.  I didn’t notice when I came, probably because I was passed out.

“Our house.”

Fine, it was a long drive from our house. Happy? I thought at as loudly as I dared.

“Ecstatic. Please don’t yell, I am right here.” Vlad reprimanded, I knew he wasn’t angry at me by the small smile that played across his face. “What kind of car do you want, my Love?”

“A Range Rover, black.”

“And if you will just sign here, it’s all yours.” The salesman said to Vlad.

“It’s all her’s.” Vlad corrected him. The man looked like he had been hit, I would have too if I was on the receiving end of that particular tone of Vlad’s voice. “It’s a gift.”

“Right of course, Sir. My apologies.” The salesman stuttered.

“Here you go ma’am.” This time it was directed to me, the first time the salesman has acknowledged my presence in the entire time we’ve been her. I had a hunch it had to do with Vlad. He handed me the keys.

“Thank you.”

“Would you like to drive it home?” Vlad asked me as we were walking out of the dealership building.

“Oh, very much so however I don’t know the way back.” I admitted sheepishly.

“I’ll ride with you. You didn’t really think I would leave you to drive home alone did you? I don’t want you out of my sight outside of the…house.” Vlad said to me. We reached my new car. I love saying that my new car. My new car. My new car.  I hit the unlock button on the key and Vlad opened my door.

“Why thank you kind sir.” I said in a fake posh accent.

“You are very welcome, m’lady.” Vlad replied in a very good posh like accent. I put it down to him living in the time period I was trying to imitate. Cheater.

Darn it, I almost forgot. “Vlad, can we make a quick detour on the way home? I need to get a new cell phone.”

“Of course we can stop at Orange Romania and get one for you. Never found the need for one myself.”

“You have to get one too, what if something bad happens and I need to call you?” I panicked.

“If you really want me to, and it would make you feel better, I will get one too.”

“Thank you, Vlad. That means a lot.”

We both decided on the iPhone5. When I say we, I mean I decided and Vlad agreed with me…and paid. I successfully drove home. OhKay so I was only successful because Vlad was giving me turn-by-turn direction like a super-hot GPS system. Super, super hot. I even gave a little eep of happiness when I pulled into the garage type thing. Vlad smiled and laughed at how excited I was. We walked in silence from the car to the house until we were in the foyer and Vlad spoke. Not that I’m complaining because his voice is like take me now hot. It’s all deep and gravely like he just woke up.

“Home. You called this home.” Was all he said.

“Yeah, I guess I did.” I replied thinking back to when we were at the dealership and I said I would like to drive home.

“Why?”

“I guess I said it because that’s what this is now, my home.”

“What about you’re apartment in America?”

“It’s just a place I lived. I should probably cancel the lease now that I think about it. This is my home because this is where you are Vlad. You’re my home now.”

“I like how that sounds. I’ve never had anyone say that about me before. It feels nice. I feel…” He trailed off and scrunched up his face like he didn’t know how he felt. It’s times like these when I wish I had a camera.

“You feel loved, Vlad. You feel loved.”
