Like What Does It Do?

There is a sense of accomplishment when you are able to help someone else get what they need. And right about now I feel pretty accomplished. I was able to help Vlad get the fae on his side. I know less than nothing about said war, but Vlad seemed pleased when the fae king pledged his allegiance to Vlad so I am assuming it was something he really needed to happen. Now if I only knew what giving my blessing to the fae king meant. Once Niall had declared the fae loyal to Vlad, he bit us both farewell and left.

“So what exactly did I just do?”

“You gave the fae your blessing, which is a form of protection for them. Since fae are not a race that is strong enough to protect themselves without help, they rely on other supernatural beings to aid them. They are a great ally because of the magical properties they possess; however their magical properties do not include protection.”

“So basically it comes down to you can have all the power in the world but if you don’t have the strength to back it up, you’re weak.” I summarized. I guess it made sence, they have immense magical power but they have no muscle to back it up with, hence why they need protection. “And what exactly is my blessing as a form of protection? Like what does it do?”

“The fae under King Niall’s rule are now marked with your scent. The scent of the Vampire Princess who also happens to be Nephilim, a scent that no one should be dumb enough to mess with. Once you reach your full potential, you will be undefeatable. Not even I will be able to win in a fight against you.” Vlad said. He looked proud.

“Not even you…”I mused aloud. Vlad was pretty powerful from what I could tell I would have been happy to have ended up half as powerful as him, but to be more was that something I could handle?
