Jacob's pov:
I slowly opened my eyes or at least the one I could open the other one is where Nash punched me and it was black and swollen. I saw the doctor in the room
"Oh your awake I should go get your mom"
I nodded my head slightly at him. He left the room and about 5 minutes later my mom came in frantically
"Sweetie are you okay"
She came over and sat by me on the bed
"Yea mom I'm fine just a little fight"
"A little fight that's why the other boy didn't get hurt and I told the cops he threatened you with a weapon and now he is in jail for attempted murder"
"Mom you did not do that did you seriously?"
"Yea only cause he hurt my baby"
"Mom don't press charges please I'll just keep my distance from him he's only a teen don't make him suffer please leave right now and do it"
"But sweetheart-"
"Mom leave please"
My mom left the room and I turned to the tv and changed the channel to SpongeBob. On commercial I was on my phone when I heard the door open
"Hey Jacob I'm super sorry about what happened" Kayla apologetically said
"No it's not your fault don't blame yourself"
"Okay but I know it is-"
"Kayla stop blaming yourself just come in"
She walked in and I saw what she was hiding behind the door it was a bunch of balloons and some stuffed animals
"Kayla you didn't have to get me anything"
"Yea I did because why not"
"Thank you I appreciate it just remember this so when I do something big for you, you know why"
Kayla's pov:
"Okay I will"
I walked out of the room to run into hunter
"Hunter I don't want to hear it"
"I know kayla I'm sorry that I've been such a dick to you, I guess I'm just jealous"
"Jealous why would you be jealous?" I asked a small laugh escaping my lips
"Because you like Jacob and not me"
"I don't like you cause you've been a bully"
"I'm sorry kayla"
"Plus I never said I didn't like you"

"I just like Jacob a little more"
"Oh I understand"
"Yea hunter you're really nice--"
He kissed me he kissed me !!! But what about Larissa I kept thinking. I pulled away
"Hunter I think Larissa likes you"
"Really cause her and Brandon have been over there the whole time talking"
"But what about Jacob?"
"Kayla honestly forget about Jacob he's just a fuckboy waiting to happen and you're going to get hurt and Kayla you don't deserve it"
"I guess just please don't kiss me without warning cause for all you know I could've just eaten a burrito with onions"

I leaned in and kissed her
"Hunter I was so serious😂"
"Alright fine do you at least have my number?"
