Ch.16: Guestroom Refreshing Job Contest in Karuizawa

-Karuizawa-Pension Misuzu-Summer-
"I'm sorry, I'd like to let all of you stay here, but unfortunately, I only have one guest room available." Susuzu explained, causing Y/N and Haruhi to let out a sigh of relief.
"Just one room you say? What else can be done?" Kyoya asked.
"Very well, I, the president, will represent everyone." Tamaki stated.
"Tama-chan, no fair!" Honey pouted.
"Are you just out for yourself? Have you no sense of solidarity?" Y/N chuckled as she realized that the twins were using Tamaki's own words against him.
Haruhi sighed loudly as Tamaki went into his sulking mode again.
I hope that he doesn't grow mushrooms in one of the guest's closets... He thought, before glancing over at Y/N, who was smiling widely in amusement. I wish that they'd just go away though!
"Hey, sir, we just came up with a fun game. Want to play with us?" The twins asked. "We call it the 'Guestroom refreshing job contest in Karuizawa'."
These boys and their stupidly long plan names. Y/N shook her head while smiling.
"We'll work all day here at this pension, where they say they can't afford more help." Kaoru began to explain.
"And, whoever leaves the best impression on Misuzu-chi gets to stay at the guest." Hikaru added.
"Sounds fun! Alright, alright, I'm in on this plan!" Susuzu exclaimed happily.
Y/N blinked as she stared at the owner, suddenly noticing a box that read 'manager mode', and poked at it while Susuzu ranted about his agreement to the twin's plans.
"I'm going to work you to the bone!" Susuzu declared. "Until I make my descision, I will not treat you as guests!"
"Haha...sounds like fun..." Y/N patted the depressed Haruhi's back.

___Quick Time Skip___
Y/N was folding the bed sheets that she had washed and hung up earlier, then rewashed and rehung after the hosts arrived, when she heard hammering.
Glancing around, the (H/C) smiled slightly as she saw the two familiar blonds.
Tamaki was hammering some of the broken fence, while Honey sat nearby, eating cake.
"You know, this is the first time in my life that I've ever held a hammer." Tamaki said, obviously speaking to Honey since he had yet to acknowledge the female time traveler's appearance.
"A job can be pretty harsh, huh?" Honey chimed.
"You there! Complaining is forbidden! Minus three points!" Y/N jumped as Susuzu suddenly appeared.
"Eh!?" Tamaki and Honey exclaimed in shock.
Tamaki, suddenly having taken his gaze off of the fence he was hammering, accidentally hammered his thumb.
"It hurts...It hurts..." Tamaki whimpered as he held his injured thumb.
"You look disgraceful. That's minuse another-hmm..?" Susuzu blinked as Honey suddenly came up to him, trying to look super cute. "You can't persuade me with cuteness, either!" And with that, Susuzu walked away, leaving behind two depressed blonds and a shocked, yet amused, Y/N.

Y/N and Haruhi were clearing up some of the tables of empty plates, though Y/N flinched when she suddenly heard a certain duo shouting.
"Hi! Come on in!" The twins greeted two females who had walked in.
"W-we have reservations to stay here." Stuttered out one of the girls.
"Ah, yes, yes, we've been expecting you." The twins said, pushing the girls in the direction of the staircase. "Make yourselves at home, okay? Allow us to show our booked guests to their room."
"They are quite forward, but they are loveable characters, so plus five refreshment level points." Susuzu stated.
Loveable characters? Sure, let's go with that. Y/N sweatdropped as her and Haruhi sent each other a worried glance.
"Oh, Takashi-kun, the legs on that table are wobbly. Could you fix it for me out in the yard?" Susuzu questioned.
Y/N couldn't help but to smile slightly as she watched Mori pick up the table that Susuzu was pointing out. "Understood." He said, before walking outside with the table.
"Nothing wasted in word or deed! Plus five refreshment level points." Susuzu practically fangirled.
"Um, what's a refreshment level?" Haruhi questioned.
"Hmph." Susuzu smirked. "Haruhi-kun, do you know what guests are after when they come here to Karuizawa?" The older man asked.
"Let's see..the cooler weather?" Haruhi questioned, looking thoughtful.
"That's not the only reason." Susuzu chuckled. "It's what they can't experience in the city-the refreshing air, the refreshing scenery, and the refreshing boys!"
Once again, Y/N and Haruhi sent each other a worried glance.
"They all come here to Karuizawa in search for refreshment. This is a contest for them to see who has the most refreshing appeal to the girls who come here to Karuizawa!" Susuzu stated.
"That really sounds like fun..." Haruhi deadpanned, as Y/N giggled softly.
"I don't know why, but doesn't he seem slightly...familiar?" Y/N suddenly asked.
"Hmm..? Now that you mention it." Haruhi looked thoughtful, before a shadowy aura surrounded him. "He's a lot like Renge."
