WARNING: THERE IS LOOOOVVEEE
Thump!
"Ow. Careful Honey."
All I wanted to do today was practice my martial arts in one of the dojos at school during my break. Yet Honey came to waste my time again. Most likely to ask me to have cake with him and Mori.
...Mori.
I felt jittery inside every time I say his name these days.
...Mori.
His name rolls off my tongue so smoothly...why is that so?
"Sorry Ru-chan!"
The thought bounced away when Honey hopped off my back speaking, giving me the chance to stand.
"I was just wondering if you would like to come train with me and Mori! We have no customers right now either!"
He climbed up me oddly to quietly whisper into my ear.
"I heard the prodigy child mastered everything! So...that means you're also really good at martial arts and kendo...right? Takashi is having a hard time finding a worthy opponent. What do you say Maru?"
It slightly scared me to hear how desperate, mature, and serious Honey was. Besides, it was odd to hear him call me anything other than the nickname he came up for me.
However, that thought disappeared from my thoughts when I remembered that he said to have me have a go at Mori in kendo.
I have to say...I'm curious.
"Ah...sure, why not?"
"Yay! Ru-chan said yes Takashi!"
A grunt was heard behind me, making me turn in reflex. A soft, hard surface made contact with my face.
'...wow. Even I don't have toned abs like these. I mean, I HAVE done more athletic things in my life. Genes maybe?'
I slight tint came to my cheeks when I backed away hurriedly, making me trip in air, falling back onto my tush.
"Why, hello floor. We meet again."
Mori struggled to hide away a smile, Honey not holding back at all, letting out a full burst of laughter.
"Haha! Clumsy Ru-chan! Anyways, I'm gonna head there first. Takashi! Carry Maru so that she won't trip again!"
I catch glint in Honey's eyes that directed towards Mori, making his eyes slightly widen before returning to his slightly lazy stare.
As Honey hops off, Mori walks over to where I was still on the ground, hooking his right arm under my legs first, then used his left to support my back. I just folded my hands calmly on my stomach when he stood and starts walking down the school's halls. I trusted him to not drop me, though the layer of pink on our cheeks we could do without.
Cradled in his toned, strong arms, I felt safe. His easy, slow pace almost pulled me to a deep slumber. But I will not allow him to see me so vulnerable.
The silence between us continued, every minute also became more awkward.
He finally turns at the last corner, entering a nice sized dojo, covered in light brown tatami mats...Honey nowhere to be seen. He walks us farther into the dojo, turning his head side to side searching for the short boy.
"Mitsukuni?"
"Honey?"
I help Takashi by calling Honey's name in search for him.
He walks us around the dojo twice before stopping for a moment to think.
"Eh...as much as I like to not walk, I think I should be set down."
Realization that I was still in his arms, hit Mori in embarrassment.
His flushed cheeks would make one squeal and call 'adorable,' but I don't squeal or call every/any person adorable. 'Adorable' is meant for baby animals, and Haruhi, not for grown men...sometimes.
He sets me down before he actually speaks.
"Honey should be here any moment. He's probably getting some snacks. Would you first like to practice? The changing rooms are down that hall, they should have extra pairs of clothes specifically for kendo. Be careful at the little stump near the entry way."
I nod in agreement to his idea, although shocked at how much he spoke to me. It...made me feel special in a way.
•••after changing•••
Mori and I stood on the opposite sides of the tatami mat, facing each other with determined, friendly glares.
We waited what seemed hours before I made the first swift movement.
He instantly blocked my wooden sword in a cross.
Neither one of us panted tiresomely as we continued or graceful dance, a pattern began to form, like a routine, we went right together, the left, back, forward...creating a waltz.
But the dance lasted for only an hour, due to a crack in the tatami mat under me, making my foot slip and had me fall backwards.
Mori, who was putting pressure onto my opposing sword, had him fall down on top of me.
He threw his sword away to be sure not to hurt me when he fell. He quickly put his arms out to prevent him from fully falling over and knocking the breath out of me.
The shock of the fall subsided, allowing me to finally open my eyes to see our position. Mori's bottom half of his arms were firmly placed on the sides of my head, he stares at me wide eyed as he straddles me.
Our blushes deepened when the silence only continued.
'Where is Honey when we most need him?'
Reality replies back with,
'Darling, reality is just harsh.'
I didn't notice Mori decreasing the space between us.
Before I was able to even comprehend what reality even said, a warm breath that smelled like green tea hit my lips. My face increased in temperature when Mori connected our gaze with his half lidded eyes.
"...I like you."
That's all that was said before his lips touched mine.
They fit together perfectly...when our lips moved together, it felt like it has been choreographed. The warmth from his lips had mine beg for more. I tangle my hands into his dark locks, making him let out a quiet, breathy moan. He parts for a moment to move his head slightly, putting his lips on mine again. He experimented with our kisses, I, assisting with every change. He moves his arms closer to my head, stabilizing it's angle. He bites my lip gently before licking the bottom.
When I was about to give permission for him, a childish voice broke out.
We immediately broke apart and sat on our knees, waiting for the boy to enter.
"Hi Takashi! Ru-chan! I bought cake from the cafeteria!"
He held up a plastic bag before giving us a all knowing smile.
My hair was slightly tousled, but I was able to quickly rid of the blush when he entered. Mori...not quite.
"Did something happen?"
He smiles his 'innocent' smile.
Mori and I glanced at each other, smiling, knowing each other's thought.
