I was mid way out the door before stumbling back.
Kuro noticed and raised a brow at me.
"Maru-chan?"
As if rewinding a tape, I walk back into the house, taking of my shoes, and continued my way back to my room.
I locked my door as soon as I stepped in.
"Eh-OYA?! MARU-CHAN?!"
I couldn't. The embarrassment of it all is killing me. Their lips...were so soft against mine.
'No Maru! Bad Maru! You're too young be in love!'
I banged my head against my bedroom door, making Kuro frantically shout on the other side.
"Uncle Kuro...I'm staying home today."
I could feel my face turn red and green, the magical colors of Christmas, then again, Christmas is not for a while.
I wobbly stand up and staggered to the bathroom, not paying any mind to the banging on the door.
I lean my head over the toilet and gagged. Nothing came up, but it felt as if it will. The feeling from that day never left me, the same, guilty feeling. I wanted it to leave me...
...but it's fault I kissed back anyways.
I take a deep breath before standing. I stared at myself in the mirror for awhile.
Dark, black bags was evident under my eyes, my brown contacts surely do make my skin look paler than before.
I ran a shaky hand through my shaggy hair, freeing knots that didn't leave when I brushed it this morning.
"MARU! ARE YOU OKAY IN THERE?!"
I fling open the door.
"I'm fine Kuro. I'll be leaving now."
"But...I thought you said you won't..."
I duck under his frozen form, not turning back as I step out.
...I hope I don't regret this day.
•••
I stood in front of the gates, my eyes dull as I stared at them.I scream frustratingly, messing up my hair.
"Why the hell did I arrive two hours before school starts?! GUWAAA-"
"Maru!"
My head shoots up at the adorable voice. I swiftly turned around and saluted.
"Captain Haru-"
She trips.
I sprint and slid under her, making her fall flat into my stomach, knocking half the air it of me.
She gets up hastily before sending a wave of apologies towards me. I only chuckle in reply, patting her head. She smiles at me before we walk past the gates. I asked her why she was there at such a early time, and she told me it was to get some extra studying in since she hasn't been able to do that that much due to the host club.
The halls were quiet as we walked through, heading to library eight, the most spacious one.
Once we arrived, Haru immediately headed toward one of the many tables. I follow her and sat myself across from her. I studied her studying, calculating every single small movement, before she even bats a lash at me."You need something Maru?"
My body slightly jerks back at her voice. I regain my composure as she casts her full attention away from the book and onto me.
