Chapter 17: If You Hurt Them, I'll Hurt You

Sweet mother of pearl. It's finally Friday. No more useless knowledge on tests that we will probably never use in life, no more sitting in a cramped classroom with hormonal teens, and host club free!

Goodness, I've never felt so excited before.

I kept my stoic face on as I waited for Haru at the front gates like I have been doing since starting school year. I waited a few minutes before checking my watch.

"She's five seconds late..."

I stayed on my spot, intensely staring at my watch. When a minute went by, I started frantically waving my head around searching for Haruhi. She was never late, maybe by a few seconds on Tuesdays, but never Friday's.

I paced around in a circle, glancing at the school's entrance, then to the road.

'Haru Haru Haru Haru Haru Haru Haru Haru-'

A force rammed into me- making me fly up. I land in two pairs of arms.

"Second target, captured."

"Haru? Where is Haru? Kaoru, tell me where Haru is."

Kaoru had his arms hooked under mine, whilst Hikaru gripped my legs under his arm.

"Haru is in the limo currently."

Satisfied with his answer, I go limp, letting them carry me to where Haru is.

"Haru!"

"Maru?"

I was squeezed in between the twins when I was thrown into the sleek, black limo, to see Haru blind folded across the seat from mine, sitting next to Mori and Honey.

Just when I was about to comment about our situation, darkness shrouded my eyes.

"Why are you blind folding me, Hitachiins?"

I raised my hands to untie the knot, but the twins intercepted my hands.

Their hands covered my cold, small ones. They immediately warmed up in their palms, though.

"No no, our little pet! It's a surprise."

They held my hands the entire 28 minutes and 48 second ride, not letting go, even when the limo parked.

I felt their gaze at each other, then down to our clasped hands. They flinched slightly before taking that nice warmth away from my fingers.

"Come on, Maru!"

They once again hooked their arms under my armpits, rushing out.

With one of my six senses blocked off, I wasn't able to see our location. Only the smell of salty air gave me a hint that we arrived at the beach.

"Wow..."

"You can wow later Haru. First help me take off this blind fold."

I stopped slightly so that cousin Haru was able to reach.

The sudden light slightly tinged my eyes, making me wince. I forced my eyes open through the pain, not regretting my choice.

"Haru...is this the beach?"

"No Maru...that's the beach's map."

She turns me to the left.

"THAT'S the beach."

My eyes shined, my lips twitching, trying to hold back a smile.

"Haru, I want to go!"

I sped walked to the soft looking sand, when I was thrown over a shoulder before I could even touch the golden richness.
