Maru's POV
There was a small distance between Kaoru and I as we walked, though once in a while his hand would brush mine. It almost felt completely normal, walking side by side, our footsteps in sync...but...my decision isn't set yet.
The buzzing of his phone interrupts the steady beat, interrupting the silence that had surrounded us as well.
He checks his phone, but his expression doesn't change the slightest.
He gently puts his phone back into his pocket.
I never questioned it, because it wasn't in my place to have the need to know. We walked on, our feet once again in sync.
One pair of feet suddenly stop, right before we had to turn in the hallway, the other stopping as well soon after.
I look back to see Kaoru smiling at me with his half lidded smile.
"You go on yourself from here."
I stared at him a bit, waiting for an explanation.
He tilts his head.
"Go on..."
"Haru's waiting for you."
That's all what I needed to hear to turn back around, leaving Kaoru to stand in the hallway.
3rd person POV
The rest of the male hosts headed towards him soon after when Maru left.
"Did you wrap that wound well, dear brother?"
"Of course, dear brother."
"Ne ne, Takashi, do you think Haru-chan, and Ru-chan will make up?"
The tall giant smiled at the small Lolita boy.
"Ah."
Kyoya's glasses gleamed beside them, after hearing their statement.
"Haruhi has decided her decision, it being difficult to decide. What do you think of this, Tamaki?"
The blonde boy only had a small smile, unlike the ones that matched his boisterous personality, he seemed serious in this matter.
"Maru...she will fix things. She have Haruhi understand her like us...even though she's the one who needs to understand her most."
Their faces held no shock at Tamaki's words, because they'd already had experienced the changes.
All of them, stares at that corner Maru turned to, smiles adorning their faces.

Maru's POV
My footsteps echoed through the hallway, every step taking me closer to my fate...
...to find out the truth...
...to end my hesitant thoughts about the ones close to me...
...to gain trust...
...to Haruhi.
And when I stepped into that room...
No one else was in there...but her...
She sat straight in her chair, like a wooden doll.
Her large brown eyes seem dead to the world, as if she was sick of life in general.
