Her tiny hands flew up to his neck, pulling at the tips of his hair. Smiling, his teeth shimmered underneath the sun as they danced together, the cool breeze grazing their eyelashes.
Their laughter echoed through the air, flying between the clouds, falling onto deaf ears.
'What a beautiful day,' he thought. His eyes drifted behind him to see another woman. Tall, slender, and smiling. Her hair has grown out down to her waist, but due to the breeze she's braided it.
The little girl he had within his arms had ran to her as soon as he set her down to the ground.
"Did you see, mama?" The little girl giggled.
"Papa swung me up to the clouds!"
Her little nails dug into her mother's skirt, pulling it hard towards her father.
"I saw- even a pair of wings started to grow on your back!"
The wind picked up behind them, pushing the young woman faster to reach her husband.
He gripped her hands, kissing her on the cheek sweetly.
"Where did you go?"
Slender fingers brushed stray hairs behind his ears. He felt a new weight in place of where she touched.
Raising his brow, he laughed.
"A flower?"
"Yes, ha, you look gorgeous, darling."
Her laugh, her sweet, velvety laugh has become so natural.
He sighs, bringing his face close to hers, whispering against her rosy lips.
"I love you...Maru."
He wakes.

Hey y'allllllllllllll. U still like this story???? I honestly had another chapter prepared before this, but I hope you won't mind me TAKING ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO REWRITE IT. I'm very sorry for putting this off, but I felt so unmotivated since everyone's been giving me crap about it. But people kept on reading this story, and I realized I couldn't abandon it now.
