Quick Note: *Cries happy tears* You all are soooooooooo wonderfulllllll!!!
☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ I'm sorry I didn't update last week- after all, it's testing week- but I'm back in track! There should be an actual update in a day or two...or a few days after...(;*゚▽゚*) but I want to dedicate this chapter to all those readers who are sticking with me and this story! Man, I'm rambling. Anyways~ here's the chapter!•••
The stage lights.The cheering crowd.
The awed stares.
...That energy rushing through my blood returned.
...the need to perform.
...the need to be known.

"Aye aye aye aye aye aye-"
"Shut up already! You've doing the same exact thing since yesterday!"
"I can't help it cousin Haru. How would you feel, if a idiot man-host, that calls himself "king," to suddenly announce in your face that you'll be performing in front of a large crowd in two weeks, when you've been hiding your identity for years?"
"..."
"Exactly."
Haru stutters slightly as she tried to answer.
"W-well, you'd be wearing a mask!"
I stare at her dumbly.
"Releasing this 'angelic' voice, would basically declare where this prodigy child was hiding, and so, the press wouldn't waste a second to hunt me down."
"Can't you just mold your voice like you do with your guests?"
"..."
"Exactly. You see? You have nothing to worry about."
I huffed in defeat, slouching over slightly to let my tense muscles rest. These past few days were surely troublesome. We were preparing for another ball; another seasonal ball, fall, that is...one month away from Halloween. This week has had me use more stamina then when I was a child attending all those classes- yes, quite hectic indeed. It had me wonder why I was hanging around with this group still- but I always then remembered the answer, it was always because of cousin Haru.
"Maru! It's time for your scheduled rehearsal!"
Sudden dread fell upon me. Renge has become more...let's say...sass-happy.
I sighed in annoyance before bidding my goodbyes with Haru, slowly trudging towards Renge, hoping that my hesitating steps were slow enough to make the hours of the day pass by- but an Ootori happened to be near.
"Mr. Kitsune, you do realize I CAN add more to Haru's debt because of your lack of cooperation."
I sent a glare at him, but my attempts to make him retreat were only met with a smile. A sickening, sweet smile.
"*Huff.* I despise your ways Ootori. And people wonder why you're Satan..."
"Excuse me?"
"Nothing!"
I feel the devil's eyes burning into my soul.
•••
"CUT CUT CUT!"
Sure. I'll cut your skinny little neck off.
Renge has been screeching right through my ears. Yes. Ears. Both of them.
"Renge...give Maru a break already...he sung it perfectly in the past 4 hours."
Thank you Haru.
