Chapter 2 - Bootcamp

To this moment I still can't believe that I made it. But I had to go to the next step, bootcamp. I'm afraid because people say this is the hardest part. I'm also going to be away from my mum.

I packed up my stuff. I can't believe I'm going to the next step. Well let's see how this goes. My mum dropped me off to the bootcamp place. "I'm going to miss you mum", I said. "My too sweetheart. But hey now you can call me with this phone", she said as she took out the iPhone. I screamed. "Thank you mum", I said as I gave her a big hug. "You earned it sweetheart. Now go and have fun out there", she said. "I will mum. Thank you", I said as I kissed her in the cheek. I got out of the car with my suitcase. I got in. "What's your name love", one lady asked me. "Perrie Edwards", I said. "Oh okay come with me. I'll show you your room", she said. I followed her. "Here it is", she said as she opened the door. It was just a tiny room with two beds. I'm guessing someone was going to be my roommate. "You're going to get a roommate okay love", the lady said. "Oh okay thank you", I said. "You're welcome sweetheart", she said smiling, then she left.

I was unpacking my stuff. Then someone came in. It was a girl who had nice curly hair, she was tall too! She smiled and said, "Hi there, I'm Leigh-Anne". "I'm Perrie. You must be the new roommate", I said. "Yes I am! I'm excited for the bootcamp", she said as she unpacked her stuff. "Well I'm a little nervous", I said. "Why", she asked. "Well because I never really been to any of these things and I'm just scared", I said. "Everything will be fine. Just as long as you put your whole dedication to this then you'll be fine", she said. "You're right", I said. Then we continued unpacking.

A couple minutes later after we unpacked we went to the cafeteria where there were a lot of contestants! I've never seen that many people before! I went to get dinner and sat down by myself. I was thinking about many things. Will I make it? Will they kick me out? I don't know. But just like Leigh-Anne said I have to put my whole dedication to this. And I will. Well at least I got my iPhone. I was playing around with it. I can't believe my mom actually bought me this because I got though the auditions. It's making me smile just thinking about it.

"Okay ladies and gentleman go take a rest because tomorrow the real fun starts", the host said. Everyone started to go to their rooms. I guess everyone is taking this pretty seriously. Oh well let's see how this turns out to be. I went to my room and I was getting ready to go to sleep. "Tomorrow is going to be a big day", Leigh-Anne said as she turned off the light. "Yeah I know", I said as I went to bed.

*NEXT MORNING*

It was seven in the morning and we have to get up. I was a little tired. I couldn't sleep last night becasuse I was thinking about everything! I was nervous, what about if I don't make it. "Good Morning Perrie. Ready for the big day?", said Leigh-Anne. "I'm not sure", I said. "Come on we'll be fine all we have to do today is sing and dance and at the end of the day the judges will see who gets in and who gets out", she said. "Well with a lot of contestants, I'm not sure", I said. "Perrie, you need to stop worrying just have fun", she said. Just like what my mum said and she was right. "Okay you're right, now let's go get some breakfast", I said. Leigh-Anne giggled and went to get some breakfast.

We had to practice the dance moves they taught us to do. Then we have to prefrom it in front of the judges. I learned the dance moves easily but the problems is with the judges looking at you, it gets scary. So us girls went first and well I had to try my best. I took deep breaths before I went up. When they called us up my heart started beating really fast. We all lined up and we preformed. I guess I did pretty good. I saw the judges looking at all of us then they were talking to each other. When we finished it was the boys' turn to dance as well. I really wasn't paying attention to the boys' dancing, I just wanted to know who the judges would pick. Then next it was singing. When it was my turn I was nervous as well! But just the like the audition I just had fun and sang. Then the judges will decide who to pick after lunch.

I didn't really eat my lunch. I was too nervous. I was just thinking about what will happen if I didn't get picked. Will this be the end? I already made a new friend, Leigh-Anne. After lunch the judges called all of us up. We were standing there all nervous then as the judges called people's names, people started to leave. Then the moment I didn't want to happen, they called my name. I was so sad and disappointed in myself. Then I left the stage. I didn't really want to cry because I knew this was going to happen anyways. I was about to leave to my room to pack my things. Until the host said, "You guys wait. Whoever I'm calling needs to go back on stage because the judges want to talk to you". Oh I'm probably not one of them anyways. "Leigh-Anne Pinnock" Wow he called Leigh-Anne! I'm so happy for her! "Jade Thirlwall" "Jesy Nelson" "and Perrie Edwards" What? Did he really just say my name?! I was shocked! "You girls come with me", he said. We followed him. We were all nervous and scared. "They want you four on stage", he said. We all went up on stage and we were holding hands as well. "Hey girls", one of the judges said. "Hello" we all said. "We decided that you girls have so much talent and we decided to put you girls together as a girl band. Can you girls work together", she said. We were shocked and happy and just speechless. "Yes", we all said. "Okay then you girls are back", one of the judges said. We screamed and we hugged each other! It was the happiest day ever. I was happy because I'm back but this time not alone. I get to team up which I think is better. This is just the beginning.
