Chapter 14 - I Hate That I Love You

The next day I was still upset and sad and well heartbroken. The girls encouraged me to out of bed and go out and get some fresh air. I wasn't really in the mood for that but I still wanted to go since I see that the girls really care and seemed worried. I got out of bed and picked up my phone that was on the floor I got about 50 text messages and 100 missed calls for Zayn. Wow, he still has the guts to call and text me after what he did. I read the messages and they all said if I was alright or that he is worried about me, doubt it.

The girls and I got our sweaters and uggs ready, and we went outside. It was a chilly day but beautiful. The sun shining and a little few clouds floating in the light blue sky. 

"Beautiful day, isn't it?", said Jade.

"Yes, it is actually", I said. The girls all looked at me and smiled.

"Where do you wanna go, love?", Jesy asked me.

I didn't really want to go anywhere special, but I just wanted to relax and get my mind off things. "How about the nearby park?", I said.

"Sure", the girls said, and we walked there. Once we got there, it was quiet and lonely, but nice, just what I needed. We all sat down on a nearby bench, next to this little pond. I took a deep breath and exhaled. 

"Feeling better?", Leigh-Anne asked.

I nodded and said, "Yes, I guess, thank you girls for being there for me, I really needed this".

"Of course, we will always be together and we will always be there for each other", Jade said. That made me smile so big, I felt so relieved having these girls by my side, it was actually nice. 

We sat there for a while, quiet, until I heard something. I turned around and there he was, the person I did not want to see, Zayn. I stood up quickly and walked fast. The girls seemed surprised until they saw Zayn and gave him a dirty look. 

"Perrie, wait", Zayn said from behind. I didn't bother so I kept walking as quickly as I could.

"Perrie, wait, come back", Zayn said until I finally heard the steps from behind coming closer and closer until finally he tapped my shoulder and I decided to finally turn around, he stood there breathless. "What's going on? Why are you avoiding me?", he asked confused.

"Oh, well I don't know maybe because you don't really love me", I said angryly.

"Why? What did I do?", he asked.

"You hurt me that's what you did", I said, I was trying to hold back my tears as much as I could.

"How? I would never do that", He said.

"Oh gosh Zayn, stop, like you don't know. I saw everything, on the gossip news they said that you were with some brunette. AND before you make any excuses there was a picture of her and you together smiling and all, how do you explain that?!", I said.

Zayn looked at me confused as if he doesn't know what I'm talking about, until finally. "OH that brunette, oh come on Perrie, you think I would actually be with her? She is just a friend from home, I told you that those gossip news stuff are fake", he said.

"How do you explain it because management set us up", I said.

"Yes, but I fell in love with you", he said.

I looked at him deeply in the eyes and said, "Right, but right now, I hate that I love you" and from there I ran, I knew Zayn was going to follow me but I heard the girls so I'm sure they were stopping Zayn from coming behind me. I ran to the other side where there was a another tiny lake and a bench next to it. I sat on the bench and I started crying so much again. I never felt like this before. This all hurts and I wish I never met him and I hate that I love him so much. When is this going to end?

Finally I heard footsteps from behind, I turned around quickly and it was the girls. 

"He's gone don't worry", Jade said as they sat on the bench.

I took a deep breath. "I just want this to end, this heartbreak", I said.

"It will, look I promise you that if we win the X-Factor, we will get in a record contract and we will be big and famous, with all that you will forget about Zayn", Leigh-Anne said, and she was right.

"You're right", I said, smiling.

"But if you want to win you've got to work hard and forget about him. Right now we should focus on winning", she said. 

"You're right, you girls are right", I said standing up and turning around to look at them.

"We will practice starting now, we will forget about heartbreaks and what not, we will work hard and practice every day starting now, and I promise you girls that I will forget about him and in my mind it will just be about winning the X-Factor, starting now", I said.

"YAYYYY", the girls shouted and clapped.

"Now let's do this", I said. The girls stood up and we gave each other a group hug. We had confidence and we knew that nothing could stop us.

We made our way back to our rooms, and that's when we knew that this was it.
