"We are the Country Folks and this next song is called 'Home Again'", the singer with the beatles' haircut and western mustache said pointing his hair into the crowd as he announced the next song, next to them a poster saying "Live Music All Night".

In the back of the room were Esme and Calum standing in front of the bar, after making their way inside, their clothes still sticking to their bodies.

"The Country Folks?", Esme said, not looking away from the stage and the group of weird people.

The entire club, if you could call it like that, was filled of either so drunk people that they toddled shirtless, old m couples or country music fans, which was, indeed, so the Country Folks' thing.

"Oh god", Calum said halway through the first song as Esme already tried to supress her laughters.

"Come on, they're not that bad."

"Right. They're terrible", Calum said, still fascinated on their weird kind of performing. But he was glad that this literally insane band was the reason that the two of them could actually talk to each other again.

Esme laughed as he looked at Calum's shocked face, but as soon as he saw her laugh just had to smile back at her face.

He missed her face so much.

And just her presence.

And she saw that.

She saw his eyes, all big and passionate and glossy,

And she saw the color in his heated cheeks; that made him look so hyper yet so abashed and innocent.

He was just so real. He was just there with her and when he looked at her like that, she knew that in exact that moment there was nothing else on his mind but her.

And it was that, that made her happy.

That once in a while, whenever he was with her, she felt that nothing else mattered than the moment. That nobody else mattered but the two of them.

After forever, he smiled back and he looked at the stage again with the corners of his mouth still lifted from smiling, and she did it just like him.

"You're wet", he said without looking at her before she flashed him a annoyed, yet smiley expression. The crinklets by his eyes from smiling were so deep that even such a stupid word game about the rainy situation was no reason for her to be mad at hin, instead she nudged his side and rested her head against his shoulder.
She felt his hand moving over to her waist as she pulled back and looked at him.

"Needa pee.", she said as she ran of to the restrooms.

After 8 minutes she still wasn't there and Calum actually watched and paid attention to the show.

After 11 minutes, he looked around in the crowd, checking on wether she couldn't find him.

At 16,

He got himself a beer at the bar and after drinking it up decided to look for her and headed towards the restrooms.

He carefully opened the woman's bathroom to not offend anyone and carefully peeled an eye out for her, a mid-aged woman walking past him grutting "Get out here boy"

"Sorry I- Esme.", he said as he spotted her standing straight in front of the sink.

Straight in front of the mirror.
