"You're lying.", Calum said, getting up.

"Do you seriously think I'd be joking? You're so naive.", she shook her head, laughing. "It was either you or me. They used you against me. They knew. That, and that someone was with me that night. And then they found you and your friends on youtube.", she said, looking at him serious. "Poof. They have a whole file about you."

Calum shook his head constantly now.

"I came here, because I wanted to see if they did anything to you. That they kept their word and didn't fucking
trick me. They have so many spys here. It's unreal."

"So you lied about that as well.", Calum muttered more to himself.

"- There's just more to it.", she replied, obviously hearing what he said.

"What did James say about it?"

"James? James doesn't know. I ran away about a week ago."

"Does that mean that not only that freaking gang is after us threathening to kill us but also the freaking FBI?", Calum said, even more confused than before.

"Yep.", she simply implied. "But I told them to give me this night."

Calum knew that with them, she wasn't
talking about the FBI. The FBI didn't give you a night off your protection programme.

"What the fuck, you're scaring me.", Calum stumbled back, trying to understand how she could be serious with doing all this. "I'm going to call James now", Calum said, completly flustered.

"Calum if you're doing this they'll kill you.", she said and Calum knew she wasn't joking. It was like she was started bg right through his soul with the most serious face expression on her face that he'd ever seen. "And that'll be far worse for me than giving up a non-existing life. It'll come to an end, James will have his life back, you will have your life back and you will never have to worry again. It all makes sense."

"What do you think? That I'll be okay with this?", Calum's pulse raced up to 180 in just a matter of seconds. He raged. He was furious.

"You weren't meant to be inducted in the plan.", she replied before he could even finish his sentence.

"You can not not induct me in something like that!", Calum snapped, the phone in his shaky head, ready to type in any number.

"Calum if you're doing this, I'll never forgive you."

"I only want what's best for you!", he shouted back at her.

"The best for me? Or you?", she said, her face so serious it hurt him looking at her. "I have thought this through, and I'm okay with this."

"No, no you're not. This is insane."

"How is that insane?!", Esme replied, talking louder now. "I don't think you get it, the past months were the worst of my entire life. I can't live like this anymore. And I can't live with the thought that they'd even touch you."
