"Let me fix that tie for you", his mom said trying to get her hands on Calum, but he turned sides and stepped way back.

He sighed as he let her do the stuff, eventhough he was sure he could pretty much do it himself.

"When is Kaycee coming over?", his mon changed the topic and leaned towards his desk while Calum was standing in front of the mirror on his wardrobe.

"She should be here any minute", Calum muttered to his reflection trying to style his hair.

He was slightly nervous. Even more nervous than when he asked Kay to be his date for the prom date, eventhough it wasn't that special. Many people went to prom together. They were a couple. It shouldn't be much of a big deal.

"Can I go like this?", Calum turned towards his mother.

"Hmm", she said, "wait." And after that she left his room and hurried down the stairs. Some cupboard doors went open and slammed closed before she walked up his room again and picked up some of his clothes, that were laying all over the floor.

"Mom", he groaned.

"Here", she said as she sticked out her hand for him, a two piece of flowers resting in her palm.

"This one's for you", she looked at him as she pinned it onto his black suit. "And this one", she said as she opened his own palm and laid the gummi band with the flower inside. "Is for Kaycee"

"Thank you", he smiled into the smile that formed from excitment and pride in his mother's face.

"My baby is about to finish school, god", she said as she washed away the tears with her fingers and turned around to leave the room.

Calum stood still for a while, looking at his own reflection. So this was it. He would finish school soon. The thoughy of that day he had waited for so long actually made him surprisingly sad.

He heard a car stopping by their yard and he sprinted down the stairs to open the door first. One quick look in the mirror, done.

So have Lori hugging him and Michael standing by her side. He was a bit confused since he knew Lori any other than the type of girl to just jump into everybodys arms.
She pulled back and smiled into his face. "Hmm you smell good", she said surprised.

It was weird to see her in a black dress with lace gloves and red lipstick, but it was obvious she was still her boyish and cool self as the lipstick was slightly smudged. Maybe Michael was to blame for that, though.

She laughed as Michael slapped her ass for the comment about Calum's smell.

He just shook his head and stepped aside, letting his friend in the kitchen.

Behind the he could see Kaycee walking over to the front door as well, the most gorgeous smile on her face as she gaze up and down from the floor to watch her feet in these high heels and his face.

She looked like a princess, her hair pinned up and the dress fitting in all the right places. Her eyes were beaming and glassy of excitment.

He couldn't move from his spot, his cheeks hurting from smiling so much at the view of her. She was absolutely stunning and didn't even need to try. And she was his.
