The next day, we caught him leaving his building and he was on his phone as we were trying to catch up with him. “Russo!” Dean called. He didn’t turn around. “Shawn!” I tried. Still nothing. “Russo! Stop!” Dean snapped.

He turned around to look at us, but when he did, I saw a van coming down a hill, right toward him and I was expecting it to run him over, but, it stopped short and he flew to the ground in shock. We raced to him and Sam helped him up.

“Get off of me” he ripped his hand out of Sam’s grip. “And you two! I told you to leave me alone, didn't I?!” he snapped at Dean and I.

“Look, we're just trying to help you out, okay?” I tried to reason as Dean picked up his cell phone. “Help me?! You almost killed me, you lunatics. Give me that” he snatched his phone away from Dean. “Unbelievable” he muttered and started to walk away.

“Russo! Wait!” Brit tried.

“Just be glad I'm not suing your ass!” he shouted.

But, then, a bus went speeding by, hitting Russo in the process and blood spewed everywhere. I jumped slightly as my eyes widened, but I wasn’t the only one. We all stared at the blood covered bus and the blood covered street and then exchanged a look with each other. We just witnessed an act of fate.

“You've got to be kidding me…hey, guys, check it out” Dean said, referring to the ad on the back of the bus. It was an ad for Russo’s law service, that said Justice Matters. We all gave him a look. “Too soon?”

“Yea, Dean. I’m pretty sure six seconds is too soon” Brit said.

I just shook my head at him…but, then, something caught my eye. “Hey” I said, lowly, hitting Sam lightly in the chest.

We both looked across the street and saw a blond woman wearing glasses, holding a book in her arms and she was watching us from inside a building but, then she quickly disappeared.

“I think we saw her. Right over there” I said.

“Her? Like Fate her?” Brit asked.

“Yea”

“What'd she look like?” Dean questioned. “Kind of like a librarian” Sam said. “Your kind of librarian or my kind of librarian?” Sam looked at him.

“Well, she was wearing clothes, if that's what you mean”

“Alright” Dean nodded and started to head over there and I was right beside him. “Whoa, whoa. Wait, wait, wait. We can't just walk over there” Brit said.

“We're not on the hit list. We have nothing to do with the boat. Let's go talk to her” I smiled.

“Talk…” Sam said, slowly.

“Yeah, you know…” Dean started as he pulled out his gun unnoticeably from under his jacket. “Talk. Worth a shot, right?”

So, we all walked across the street and into this abandoned-looking restaurant as Dean was using a flashlight and we were all trailing behind him. “Hello?” I called out. No answer. Not like I was expecting one anyway. “Hello?” Dean tried as well.

But, then, the flashlight started to die. “Oh come on” he muttered and just set it back down. “You got a lighter?” Brit asked. “Yeah” he said and took it out.

My stomach started to churn uncomfortably. His lighter wasn’t working, either. “Oh, come on. It's out of juice or something?” Sam asked. “It shouldn't be” he said.

"Wait…does anyone else smell that?” I asked. “You’re the one with heightened senses, Mel. Care to elaborate?” Dean asked.

“Gasoline. It’s gasoline, Dean. Don’t light that!” I went to lunge for his lighter.
