Unknown Journey {Gray X Reader} - Hiatus

Chapter 6 - Mission

~(Y/N) POV~

I looked around. Everyone was staring at me as if they've heard something impossible. I just stared back with a look that said 'becoming a S-class wizard ain't that big of a deal is it' only for them to look at me to say that it is.

"Fine. It is. Now get back to your own things. I can't have a staring conversation with the whole guild let alone one person." I say. Before I got to chance to finish what I was saying, Grey got back to normal. "Yeah. The girl's gotta a point. We have a mission to get and go on." After that everyone reluctantly went back to their usual business.

"Gotta be sorry for whoever stands in the way of their mission."

"Or for the mission in some cases."

"Yeah. Still gotta be sorry for them." I heard some people say as I walked up the stairs to find a job. "Can I come too? Just so we can pick easier?" I nod and Grey comes up  stairs with me. We reach the board and nothing seems to interest either me or Grey. I walk over to the railing and jump over the top, landing front of Mira. "Hey, Mira, do you know where those century quests are?" she reluctantly nods her head.

"I was going to put them up later because another one just came in." she then goes to find the quest. "Are you crazy? A century quest?" Grey said after coming down the stairs and sitting down on the chair next to the one I was in front of. "Relax. It's going to be fine if I'm there." I say siting down as well as Mira comes in. She looks at me grimly before putting a quest paper in front of me and Grey.

"A black dragon with strips of blue painted on his scales is terrorising the town.
Request: drive out or kill the Dragon.
Reward: 10 million Jewels!?" Grey read. Everyone was listening to the request and at the reward everyone was speechless. "That's the same Dragon that attacked me on my quest and the reason I had to come back." said a man coming in. He had light brown hair and dark brown eyes. He looked a lot like Cana. "Looks like we have a new member and a S-rank no less. My name's Gildarts. What's yours?" "(L/N). (Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet ya." I said. We shook hands before I looked up at Mira. "We'll take it. I have an advantage that no one else has over Acnologia so we'll be fine."

Both Mira and Gildarts look at me at the mention of Acnologia." Acnologia!?!?!?" They said,  more like shouted, in unison. I nod my head. "So that was him!?" Gildarts shouted again. I nod again before grabbing quest sheet and Grey's hand before walking out of the guild.

~Grey's POV~

I continue to half walk and be half dragged until we got to the station. When we got there,  (Y/N) let go of my hand and looked at the address on the quest sheet. Then walked over to the platform before sitting down and waiting for the train. Snapping out of my daze, I walk over to her. "Two things. 1) What the hell? Why did you take the quest? It's about Acnologia. The king of Dragons for God's sake! And 2) We can't get on without tickets." I said. She shows me the tickets to answer my second question and shows me her other hand where the quest sheet should have been. "Where did-" I started only to be interrupted by (Y/N). "-it go? Back to the guild. 'Cause Mira has to call them to say we're coming doesn't she?" I nod, surprised. Despite the fact that she hasn't been in a guild before, she has good knowledge of what it's like in one. I thought.

Then the train came and we went on. She sat directly opposite me but quickly fell asleep. I chuckled a bit. She looked cute in her sleep. That peaceful look, the long eyelashes, the plum and kissa- WAIT! What in the world am I thinking!? I blushed at my thoughts. Then I started feeling heartbeat quickening. What's this feeling? What's wrong with me? Maybe I should go check with Mira. Maybe she'll be able tell me what's wrong. That when (Y/N) started waking up. "Where are we? Did we get there yet?" I shook my head. If I remembered correctly, I looked at  quest sheet and the next stop should be our stop.  She nodded in understanding before getting up. "I'm going to the rest room." then she walks off.

I turn my head and looked out the window, drifting back into my thoughts. I don't think I should be feeling like this. Maybe I started falling in love with (Y/N) again. I mean I used to when we were kids, but the symptoms aren't the same so that can't be it. I was broken out of my thoughts when the next station was announced. Our stop. (Y/N)  came back just in time and we got ready to get off.

Hello minna-san. This is a early update I know. But it's just to make up for the not being able to update on Sunday. I will still update this Sunday though don't worry.
