Im late af but i just saw the announcement and twitter shit about geRARD WRITING FOR DC LIKE HOW AMAZING IS THAT

This is complete unrelated but i was just at the corner shop supermarket thing and i don't have a bag or any pockets today so i had a £5 note on my hand and my big ass phone with the earphones plugged (conveniently, It Gets Worse by msi was playing wow) and i grabbed this butter milk carton thing and struggled to grab 3 energy drinks but anyways as i got to the line i felt my top unbotton qnd im like hell no bc i couldn't button it but i couldn't leave it bc i was getting to the till and im like fuck fuck shit jehdhd so being the smart ass i am i try to do it anyways and my phone fucking dives screen first into the floor and everything freezes for a sec and im awkwardly there with a carton and 3 cans in my arms and my phone on the floor and the earphones hanging freely lsihsbsbd anyways i then picked them up and put them into a basket like i should've fucking done and the lady complimented my top so all went well

Anywhore, back to the topic

It's just amazing that this angsty teenager who adored comic books and looked up to artists went through so much shit, battled through addiction and managed to get to happiness and is now even doing what he always dreamt to do and writing for DC. I'm usually not for that cheesy shit but it really is inspirational. ALSO IT'S HIS BDAY TOMORROW YEYEYE (im secretly just waiting for Frank to tweet him. He wished Frank a happy birthday on twitter last october, right?)

Now all I can think of is maybe me being able to do something somewhat good enough with comics but then I'm not that good at art. But eh I'll always keep trying.
