Chapter 15

After I call Josh, my arms lift her off the ground with ease. But of course, being the stubborn woman she is, her hands fly to my chest to try and push me away. "Let me go, Sparky. I'm fine, I can walk." Groan. She just about fainted and she's telling me she's 'fine'. Idiot.

"Shut up. You just took on 5 guys at 1 time, so just stop talking." The smirk that rests gingerly on her lips slowly bellows into full blown laughter. Without even realizing it, I'm laughing along with her. What the hell is wrong with me? My girlfriend is beat to a bloody pulp and we're laughing?! Hurriedly, I clear my throat and let the laughter die down. "What? Why are you laughing?"

"I love it when you're demanding." Not giving me a moment to say anything she continues, "I did pretty good didn't I?" I smirk but before I can reply, her uncle comes into my line of sight. My lips purse to whistle and effectively catch his attention. To my luck he's driving his truck to meet us half way.

"Yeah, you did. I'd kiss you but you're covered in blood." I try to joke but it only furthers to frustrate me. I know she can ruffle some feathers but damn, all t his because she won't go on a date with you? And I guess she did kick his ass in front of the whole school, but it isn't like he didn't deserve it.

"Touché." She mumbles and relaxes her abs, practically becoming dead weight in my arms, not that she weighs a lot anyways.

Josh doesn't ask questions as I slide her into the backseat. Quite frankly I have no answers other than Charlie finally got fed up with getting his ass kicked. We drove to the hospital in his truck and it took practically all of my energy to keep her awake and deal with the glares and snappy words of my battered girlfriend. "Leave me alone, Sparky! Damn!"

"You can't fall asleep you little shit, so let him do what he's supposed to." Josh demanded. At least someone is on my side here. My girl is just too stubborn for her own good.

"I'd flip you off if I had enough energy, my loving uncle. So just picture it." She spits into the water bottle I passed to her, since I noticed some blood spilling out of the corners of her mouth. Unfortunately, she didn't use it to gargle and spit out, the half empty water bottle is now red. My orbs remain trained on her entirely to make sure her eyes don't shut for a deep slumber when she barks out a laugh. "I have a fucking fight on Saturday. Shit."

"You'll be fine." Josh mutters and it could be because he's so used to seeing her in a similar situation, but I am not quite as confident.

By the time we make it to the hospital, I'm feeling pretty helpless as they wheel her behind the double doors to get a 'better look at her'. I explain to them that she was jumped and hopefully they ignore all of the other scars that decorate her body. My lips curve slightly at the fun little game I invented. I'd point at a scar, kiss it to make it feel better and she'd try to recall where it came from. Girls are apparently sneakier in the ring, using any sort of means to win. Which includes them digging their nails into you, or even biting if they feel like they could get away with it.

Of course my smile fades now that I'm back to reality. We aren't laying in her bed, and I'm not kissing her past pain away. Nope, we are in a hospital because I wasn't there to protect her.

GMWGMWGMWGMWGMW Riley's Point of View GMWGMWGMWGMWGMW

This sucks, I hate hospitals, literally despise. Everything is so miserable, the white walls, blankets, sheets everything is so depressing and if you feel okay walking in here you don't once you have to stay. It is as if everything is so dreary so they can diagnose you with some depression or something. "So you got jumped?"
