Part 29

I stood there with my eyes wide from horror and worry. The men left a long time ago but I couldn't move from my spot. The only thing my mind was doing was showing images with Lucy and Meredith dead.

Lucy.... I have been away only for a month but it feels like it was a year since I saw her for the last time. And I didn't think about her even once. I'm a horrible friend.

I knew my next action is going to probably cause me A LOT of trouble but I can't just leave people to be brutaly killed while I sit and "enjoy" my new life with other werewolfs.

It was quite early, about 12 a.m., when I moved from the spot. I was going to warn them. I don't care if other villagers will believe them or not but I will save Lucy, Meredith and her brother. In the worst case I will take them across the river.

I was going through the field where my first kill happened and I felt my stomach clench. I still couldn't get through with it even though it happened more than a week ago. I shook my head and continued to walk towards the river that conected the main lake.

I heard a shuffle behind me and saw a woman running towards me. I stopped for her to catch up with me.

'Luna, where are you going?' She asked not even breathing hard.

Am I goint to be babysitted?....

'For a walk. I didn't look around my new home yet' I replied as friendly as possible for a pissed person. She smiled buying my lie and nodded.

'Please come back before dinner' she said and I nodded walking away.

In order not to cause any suspicion I had to walk all the way to the tunnel which wasted me over an hour. When I walked into the familiar darkness I quickly shifted not caring for my clothes and ran. Ran like my life depended on it.

It took me 3 hours to finally reach the river. I had to warn Lucy as soon as possible because it will take me even more time to get back since I was out of breath.

In the distance I saw some clothes drying so I sneaked to them and quickly stole a dress. I needed to cross the river but it didn't matter to me now. I quickly dressed up and ran towards the Meredith house. I just hoped that they were at home.

I finally reach the house. It was difficult to do because I had to avoid other people since I was "dead" in this part of the island.

I quietly opened front door and walked in. With my wolf hearing I could hear both of the girls upstairs. I quietly walked up the stairs only to freeze when my eyes met with the little boy's eyes.

'Rose!!!!' He screamed and ran towards me hugging me with all the strength. Door to my right flew open and two girls ran out both freezing in their spots.

'I missed you too but I don't have much time' I said shuffling his hair and breaking his grip around my waist. I turned to my friends and saw them both crying.

'Lucy, I...' but I was interupted with a slap. I stiffened and clenched my teeth in order to control my wolf. She wasn't happy.

'YOU PEACE OF MEAT!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE WERE?!?!' she shouted angrily.

'Lucy, I don't....' I started but I was interupted again.

'DON'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!!!' She shouted and I had enought of it.

'Lucy, shut up and listen!!!' I growled out causing her to back away from fear. My wolf was coming out and that was not the best thing in this situation.

'I won't be able to explain everything now but our all lives are on the line if you won't listen to my warning' I said seriously and they both frowned.

'Warning?' Meredith spoke for the first time.

'Yes. The people across the river uhhh.... wild people or whatever are preparing to attack the village and take over the whole island killing you all. You need to warn others and get the fuck out of here' I spilled quickly just iching to run back where I came from. I was wasting so much time here.

'Why should we believe you?' Lucy asked still angry.

'Because I over heard them talking and I'm now risking my life to tell you! If they will find out that I came here I will be killed!' I raised my voice and they looked at me confused. I really need to go back.

'I'm going back before my head rolls down. Please just listen to me' I said pleading and ran out of the house.

In minutes I was in the forest crossed over the river and was about to change into the wolf when I heard a shuffling to my left.

'I'm not happy with your decision, little mate' a cold voice rang out through the air with the bitter chocolate scent at the same time making my blood freeze.

I was found out.....
